안티코 보르고 포기아렐로(Antico Borgo Poggiarello)

Antico Borgo Poggiarello We stayed for a week in late September. The pool was open and the sun shined. The location is about 1.5 miles off the main road south of Colle di val d’Elsa towards Montrigioni. Some would call it remote, we called it wonderful. The ‘old’ village, each house converted into high end individual apartments, some with a terrace and all with spectacular views over the Elsa River valley towards San Gimignano and Casole, is truly wonderful especially at dusk where you can watch the sunset while drinking the local Sangiovese wine from vineyards which surround the estate. Despite being converted more than 20 years back the place is still fresh and sharp. The apartment fittings were well maintained and clean and everything worked…more than I can say for some place we have stayed in. Although you can cook in your apartment, and we did for a couple of nights, the on site restaurant serves high end typical Tuscan food and wine…and less expensive than many local restaurants. We asked for Cinghiale-Wild Boar…which Roberto the co-owner and chef managed to source and which Paolo also a co-owner served with chat in Italian, English and German. We can’t wait to make a return trip…can’t give a better recommendation than that !!

This place is a magic kingdom. Set high on a hill in Tuscany looking towards San Gimignano in one direction and Casole di Val d'Elsa in another. It's an old village that has been renovated in the last 20 years to provide apartments which are beautifully appointed. They also have kitchen facilities but if you're not wanting to cook there is a chef, Roberto, on site if you book for the restaurant. There is also a swimming pool. Roberto, Paolo and their lovely wives run this place with Italian charm and one is made to feel so welcome. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you guys for a wonderful few days

We stayed here for two nights as part of our Tuscan road-trip. We had spent 10 days touring a lot of Tuscany so wanted to relax. Couldn’t have found a better place, surrounded my Chianti hills. Family run business, such good service. Breakfast and dinner was amazing, all local and fresh ingredients, made/cooked to perfection. Ate outside watching sunset every night. As a special I asked Roberto for large steak, which he was very happy to arrange, which was so good. Lots of cool water, and oh yes lots of local wines and beers. Good large swimming pool, with plenty of sun beds. No lunch provided, so bring some with you. Nearest shops are 20 mins away by car. Large fridge freezer. There are cooking facilities….not that we used them. 😀 Would definitely go again and highly recommend. Although our stay was only two nights, Graciela, Roberto, Paolo & the rest of their wonderful family/staff made us feel so at home & welcome. Our stay here was simply wonderful. The views were breathtaking, the food exquisite! We will be back!

Un piccolo paradiso immerso nella natura, figlio di un sogno inseguito e realizzato con passione e attenzione, quotidianamente messe a disposizione degli ospiti che , insieme ai propri nasi umidi, si sentono a casa. Non importa che non sia un cinque stelle, ma come le persone, i posti si distinguono per come ti fanno stare. Anche a tavola.

Grazie a Roberto e a tutto lo staff, siamo stati meravigliosamente. Ottimo cibo, personale disponibile e molto cordiale. Posto incantevole, mantenuto bene e con un gran panorama. Consiglio a tutti l'esperienza

Siamo appena tornati Be che dire un Weekend di puro relax immersi nella natura e con la sensazione di essere tra amici. I proprietari persone squisite è disponibile La Fiorentina più buona mai mangiata. Pur essendo gli unici ospiti della struttura siamo stati accolti con familiarità e ospitalità. Paolo e la moglie ci hanno aperto il ristorante solo per noi così pure la moglie di Roberto nella cura della preparazione della colazione Grazie e ci rivedremo presto Ps l appartamento la torre ha una visuale unica Emanuela e Marco Grazie di tutto

Come trascorrere qualche giorno di tranquillità nel migliore dei modi?? scegliere due buoni amici che hanno i tuoi interessi, trovare un agriturismo davvero speciale... enjoy!!!! Siamo stati in questo agriturismo che ci aveva già ospitato in passato. Bellissimi ambienti con possibilità di cenare con specialità enogastronomiche della tradizione. Panorami mozzafiato, piscina esterna e d'inverno uno splendido Bagno Romano in alternativa alla piscina esterna, una coccola romantica. La possibilità di consumare l'aperitivo sotto un gazebo/pergolato (ricoperto di glicine immenso che credo in periodo di fioritura debba essere spettacolare) con il panorama delle valli verso San Gimignano (che si vede in lontananza), non ha prezzo. In cucina numerose stoviglie di qualità, pentole, strofinacci, detersivi, shampoo, bagnodoccia. Le camere sono ricavate in vecchie costruzioni riqualificate con muri larghi un metro, alcune con mangiatoie restaurate sono molto accoglienti con lenzuola candide morbidissime, doppi cuscini e condizionatore (il piumino non serviva ma era disponibile). Per la sera viene proposto un menu per chi sia interessato a trovare la cena pronta (che comunque si può cucinare in autonomia in casa), ma sono disponibili a preparare piatti su richiesta. Noi abbiamo chiesto una fiorentina ed abbiamo mangiato una carne strepitosa. La volta precedente in cui abbiamo soggiornato abbiamo avuto una suite con camera con vista su San Gimignano, uno spettacolo, purtroppo questa volta ci siamo attardati con le prenotazioni ed hanno fatto miracoli per sistemarci. Speciale la colazione sia dolce che salata, yogurt e succhi di frutta, ricca ed abbondante, i caffè, i cappuccini e le bevande calde vengono serviti al tavolo il resto è a buffet. Così si comincia bene la giornata. Io ci torno di sicuro e lo consiglio senza esitazione.
