I have been to other resorts in Montego Bay and this one was the worst experience Ive had. Unfortunately it took almost 2 hrs for the room to be ready. I arrived around noon and waited for a 3:00 check in. At 310 they said it would be a few minutes and they were just mopping. At 345 they said they needed a supervisor to check the room and it would take 10 minutes. At 4 pm they said the supervisor is has not checked the room. Then another person said they were mopping. Eventually they gave us keys around 415 and told us to wait 10 more minutes. After waiting 10 more minutes, nobody reached out to us or came to us in the lobby so we took our own bags from the front and walked to the room. I am not sure if they made us wait out of spite but I was very disappointed. While I understand things take time. There was no honesty in the front desk communication about the room status and After being at an airport since 5 am I would not recommend this check in experience to anybody. Then, to remedy the situation, someone called from customer service and sent a bottle of brandy to our room. I kindly let them know while I appreciate the gesture, I do not drink and the bottle did not make up for the fact that I missed a wedding rehearsal due to the delay and dishonesty. After that, no attempt was made for us to feel comfortable. Not all, but a great majority of the staff had a bad attitude on the entirety of my trip. I found it to be more negatively directed at people of color than the white foreigners. Positives are that the view was nice from my room. Also,the wedding food and the buffet food was good. Room service is terrible and the specialty restaurants were not great. Ultimately, with the dishonesty at the beginning of the trip and the subsequent bad attitudes from alot of staff, I didn’t have an amazing trip. I wouldn’t recommend stay here. I had a great time at Moon Palace Jamaica though. Very nice people there!

우리는 자메이카의 홀리데이 인 리조트 몬테고 베이에서 거의 일주일을 머물 렀으며 우리가 떠날 때 매우 행복했습니다. 우선 리조트 자체는 매우 아름다운 해변, 차분한 바다, 어린이에게 좋은 것, 정원 / 주변 환경도 좋습니다. 그래서 우리는 2 점을 제공합니다. 그러나 그것은이 장소에 대해 좋은 거의 모든 것입니다. 여기 우리가 머무르는 것에 대해 좋아하지 않은 것들의 목록이 있습니다 :- 도착하기 전에 우리는 숙박에 대한 질문이 있었기 때문에 리조트로 몇 번 이메일을 보냈습니다 (도착 날짜 3 주 전). 도착시 모든 이메일은 응답하지 않았습니다. TRANSFER TIME - approx. 20 mins from airport HOTEL STAFF - some of the staff have been fantastic - Kellon (special-K) is a fantastic, wonderful man and we have loved chatting with him. Also a special mention for Trevayne and Gary but this can’t be said across the board. If you have an issue or problem, don’t expect it to be sorted out. The typical response is ‘there isn’t much we can do….’ ROOMS - Rooms are dated and could do with modernising. We had a 2 bedroom part-ocean view in block C (3 accommodation blocks). Block C is furthest away from what I would call the ‘party pool’ and where evening entertainment happens, however, our room was still extremely noisy at night - it is NOT soundproof at all. The wind gusts through the whole suite through poorly fitted doors and windows. The room overlooks the main road on one side which means more noise on top of the wind and on the last night (after no sleep for 7 nights) there was a big wedding right outside of the room with no forewarning from the hotel at all.i have a health condition that relies on getting good sleep and the hotel wasn’t interested in sorting it out in the slightest. Our room also has a kitchenette area (you may see these in the photographs) but don’t expect to be able to use it - there are no pots and pans, crockery etc and no kettle/coffee maker. Other than the fridge - it’s kind of a bit pointless being there. The fridge is stocked with fizzy drink, bottled water and cans of red *****e beer. Rooms are cool enough with the air conditioning (this is from someone who can get very hot and needs good air conditioning). FACILITIES - there are two pools and a man-made beach area. There are more limited sunbeds around the pools compared to the beach which has lots of sunbeds (the ocean is warmer than the pools). I would describe one pool as being quieter than the other. I didn’t visit the gym or spa and didn’t have need for the kids facilities. There is entertainment but we don’t really access this when on holiday so I can’t comment much on it. Sunbed towels are readily available at no extra charge or deposit. FOOD AND DRINK - if you are looking for a traditional ‘buffet’ style eating system then this isn’t for you. There is a buffet for breakfast and lunch but bot for the evening meal. For this you go to one of restaurants having prebooked a table or just turn up and then wait for a table to become available (we never waited longer than 30mins). There is a steakhouse, Italian, Asian food, mexican food. My husband has an unusual food allergy which I tried to sort out with staff but they never seemed to understand what the issue was - so he ended up eating steak for dinner most days and us eating separately so my so and I could wat more varied food. Not what you want on a family holiday, eating in separate locations. I have no idea why we couldn’t pre-order something before the different coatings a d spices were added. a few days which was frustrating. Breakfast is ok - can sometime
