We had 4 days at the Hotel e Oriente as part of the Travelzoo deal and it was lovely. All the staff were extremely friendly and took a real pride in making sure all the guests were happy sand comfortable. The actual room we had was in the adjacent building and the room was spacious and comfortable, with a complementary glass of bubbles on arrival and a bottle of wine in the room. The food both at breakfast and dinner was also very nice. It is a buffet breakfast with more than enough choice and the dinners always offered various options. Being a vegan, I was a little concerned if this was going to be an issue, but everynight, the waiter ensured that there was something for me and the food was of very good quality. We also got to make use of the pool and sauna, and although the pool wasn't heated, the warm weather that we had when we were there had warmed the water sufficiently to be refreshing and not freezing. Overall it is a great family owned hotel, in a very convenient location, about an 8 minute walk to the main station, close to a lovely park and all the shops and less than 10 minutes to the funicular railway to Montecatini Alto, which is a must for any visitors. The staff were all extremely hospitable and helpful and made the whole stay very welcoming. If we ever returned to the area, we would certainly return to the Parme e Oriente.

The hotel is cosy and nice. We are a family of five and had two rooms. From the room I shared with my wife we a nice view of the pool with the mountain in the background. There was asmall balcony where we could sit and have a drink, but it was a bit narrow. The rooms were nice and clean. We especially enioyed the pool area and the pool, There was a selection of snacks and drinks and the service was really great. The breakfast was ok, but didn't really meet our expectations. We didn't try the restaurant but they also served dinner. A huge thank you to the reception who was really helpful and very nice, and added to the very positive experience it was to stay at the hotel. I would not mind coming back.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was really clean and the hand painted furniture gave it a lovely Italian feel. We didn’t use the pool at all as we wanted to travel to other towns but it looked inviting and seemed very popular. The terrace area was so nice to sit outside on, have a drink and watch the world go by. The reason for 4 stars, some of the staff could have been a bit more friendly (although the young guy on reception was really nice) and the noise from the building work next door was a distraction but I guess that can’t be helped. All in all, the price we paid was great value and Montecatini is a lovely place to visit. There are some nice places to eat and drink, shops and the train station is only a 5 to 10 minute walk making it easy to get to places like Florence and Lucca for some sightseeing.

This is a family-run hotel, very comfortable, well-position in the town. Service from the reception (Jennifer) and dining room staff (Marco and Emilio) was excellent. The food was good and prices reasonable. Great base for doing main cities of Tuscany - Lucca and Florence. Montecatini Alto is well worth a trip on funicular for the views and enjoy lunch in the Piazza.

I have spent 3 nights in this very nice hotel in liberty stile with my family. We received a very warm welcome from all the staff of the hotel, who was very kind, helpful and available throughout the whole stay. I have found the offer Surfing on the Internet where booking directly on their website I managed to get some discount. Besides the nice hospitality it was very much appreciated the quality of the food served in their restaurant, well prepared and of a wide choice. Same I can say for the breakfast which satisfied all my expectations, including all you can find in an italian/continental one.

The staff here are very nice and the rooms are spotless. We were in a half board basis so dinner was a choice of one of three starters (mainly soup or pasta) and one of three mains. Dessert was whatever it was - no choice. The food was basic, just about ok, certainly nothing special and we have never had such low quality food in a hotel before in Italy. The only good thing that can be said was that it was included in the HB price so we made sure we ate something tasty and better elsewhere at lunchtimes. The dessert on our first night was good - it was a big baked Alaska which was superb. A bit down hill after that on desserts though - the crostata one evening was dry and tasteless. There is a very basic salad bar available but best to get to it early as it ran out a couple of times we were there. Breakfast was even worse, we found to be a bit lacklustre! Macchine coffee, machine juices (very watery) and some sad pastries. Meats and cheese available but nothing inspiring - we have certainly had better. We opted for a superior room with terrace but sadly the weather was not our friend so it didn’t get the use I had hoped for. The shower was minescule with two bi-fold doors so you had to ease yourself in and then close the doors around yourself and not enough room to bend forward Sitting in the Liberty Terrace we were plagued with flies, mosquitos and gnats and, despite spraying, got quite a lot of bites. The hotel is really convenient for Terme tettuccio - it’s only about 800 metres away The Funicular is a little further but only a 10/15 minute walk away - very convenient! We have been to many parts of Italy and can say that the food in the hotel was the worst we have ever encountered. Would we return? Definitely not!

Really helpful professional staff . Really felt validated as a Vegan aswell. THANKyou for that. Food was lovely for few days stayed here. Train station close enough by and easy to get to destinations that you require. Yes I would definitely stay here again and at this hotel. Thank you all staff you are very kind and like your jobs..

The hotel is situated on a side street away from the busy town. It is within easy walking distance of everything such as shops,bars, restaurants and railway station. They are building a large adjoining extension at the moment so it was very noisy after 8am however as we were out each day it wasn’t a major issue for us. The rooms are basic and could do with a refresh with items such as shower rail hanging off and despite asking several times it was never repaired but just propped up again. The staff in general were exceptional and friendly, especially Julia and Jenifer at front of house. We were on a Travelzoo deal with half board and the 4 course dinner was adequate but rather bland. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet and was fine.
