Very nice hotel located very close to the Morro in Montecristi, DR. I like a lot how is designed…like small cabins each one has 2 doublerooms and one individual small terrace in the front. Breakfast is a la carte and included and the variety is more than enough and good quality as well. It has a nice pool area and another common and big terrace space. Literally all staff was very kind and professional. There is a kind of beach very close from the hotel maybe just like 300 mts. away. It is not a real beach but a nice place where people can easily go to take swimm or enjoy a sunrise or a sunset. It’s not dangerous at all. We had dinner twice at the hotel and food was very good as well. Despite all these good things I have mentioned I still believe is a bit overpriced because Montecristi is a very remote town and there is not much to do around

Very clean and nice hotel. There is plenty of parking available and the breakfast is a la carte with lots of choices. Walking distance to El Morro National Park and very friendly and helpful staff. There are super cute goats going around the pool very entertaining for kids. Also visit the Montecristi clock while you are there.

We were in Santiago on our way to a hotel in Dajabon when we found out that unrest at the border had made its way into the area of our planned hotel stay. With the military called out to deal with the problem, we did not feel comfortable sticking with our plans and started to look at other options. That lead to some quick phone calls. The staff at El Morro Eco were very helpful in making arrangements to accommodate our group (4 rooms). On arrival we were greeted with cold drinks and assisted getting bags to our rooms. We had a late dinner and everyone was very happy with the quality of the food. The reception lobby, bar area, and dining area were all very clean and looked very nice. Everything was very well maintained. Staff was very professional and attentive. The rooms were also very nice. Clean and comfortable. Lights and air conditioning worked and there was plenty of hot water. A few of us wanted to try the pool, but we were all exhausted. I planned on going for a swim the next morning, but I slept in a bit and by the time I woke up I only had time to grab a quick breakfast and jump in the car to get to our first meetings in Dajabon. The pool certainly looked inviting. Breakfast was great, and I believe it was included with the room charge. In summary, while we didn't have time to explore the area and really enjoy the hotel, we appreciated the assistance staff provided and we were impressed with the hotel. We are regularly in the area working on Rotary community projects in Dajabon, but I think we were all in agreement that we would like to try and stay for a couple of days at El Morro Eco on a future trip for a little R & R after our work is done.

Having read some of the reviews, I was a little nervous about staying in one of the more expensive places in Montecristi. Look no further…this hotel is well worth the expense. We had to make a last minute reservation. El Morro was communicative and very understanding and considerate, and so we were able to check in early…muchas gracias. The room was comfortable, cool and clean…which is all that we wanted from this particular trip. The attention to detail and to our specific needs was excellent. Breakfast, which was included, was varied. They were able to make a stronger expresso strength coffee and heated up our (lactose free) milk that we had brought. The server, Reni, was most accommodating and attentive. Only two very minor gripes… 1) When the water is turned on, the unusual 'melting plastic' smell coming from the tap (faucet) of the shower and hand basin. 2) The music coming from the bar and food places a few hundred metres away, which is completely out of the hotel's control, could be annoying to some guests. However, we so tired that it didn't bother us. Nevertheless, the hotel's location is exceptional because it is at the base of this very large rock formation, El Morro, which can be seen from miles around because everything else is on the plain surrounding one of the principal Dominican rivers, El Yaque Del Norte, and because it is almost next to the beach and Atlantic Ocean.

Desde el momento que contacte al personal por Instagram para pedir más detalles del lugar el servicio fue excepcional. Viaje a celebrar mi cumpleaños en Montecristi y mejor elección una vez estuve allá me convencí de que no pude hacer realizado. Este lugar tiene un concepto de hotel boutique y servicio personalizado. Sientes que eres el dueño del lugar. El icono del lugar es el chivo, son muy educados los chivos, no les miento que estába un poco preocupada a la llegada ya que pensé que no me dejarían descansar en la noche, pero desde las 7:30 pm hasta las 7 am ya ellos descansan igual que los huéspedes. Anabel nuestra recepcionista y concierge nos dio una cálida y acogida ofreciendo toda las informaciones del lugar y actividades que realizar en el área. Yeuny nos brindo un refrescante trago de bienvenida (jugo de sandía), y nos acompaño a nuestra hermosa villa llamada “ La granja” . En el segundo día de nuestra estancia nos atendió Santiago, súper profesional y atento. El seguridad que no recuerdo su nombre, tan pronto llegábamos siempre estaba presto de inmediato para darnos la entrada con una cálida sonrisa. Este lugar es un mundo a parte y el complemento perfecto para lo que queríamos hacer en el destino, desconectarnos del mundo, con excelente servicio, comida de primera, higiene total, agua caliente, privacidad y paz, pero muy cerca están los lugares de diversión locales como la disco, excursiones, el museo, restaurantes, miradores y parques locales. Como saben el desayuno viene incluido en la tarifa por noche, la calidad, sabor, presentación, tamaño de las porciones y variedad sobre pasan lo esperado. Gracias a todo el staff por hacer de este cumpleaños un sueño realizado.
