We booked 2 nights in CDH Hotel Modena to do some day trips from there. We were 2 adults with our 16 year-old daughter. The room is comfortable without being fancy. It has all you need and won't break the bank. We had a car and I believe this is necessary in this area. There is free parking. The included breakfast is good. The first morning, we arrived early since we had a bit of a drive for our activities of the day. The breakfast room was crowded and there was not a lot of food left. It was enough for us, but the selection was not a lot. There was a lot of people - looks like a business conference or something. The next morning, we went a bit later and the buffet was full of choices and good. The staff was helpful. There was bit of confusion on ''Le Bistrot''. According to their website, it says they ''offer the possibility to dinner to the internal Bistrò and offer light and fast first and second courses, with hot or cold dishes, fresh and seasonal products and delicious specialties of the typical Emilian cuisine. The wine list offers a selection of regional and Italian wines; the drink list propose a choice of the best bitters, grappa and liqueurs.'' However, on our last night, when we were inquire about dinner, they told us they only have 4 tables and it needs to be book in advance. We also did not see a full kitchen so not sure how they would be able to actually serve dinner. We went to the asian restaurant just beside the hotel (all you can eat sushis) and it was great! I would recommend this hotel if you have a car and want a budget friendly comfortable hotel.
