The receptionist should be more friendly to assist the customer. Not only me, I saw older Chinese customers keep asking for the non-smoking room and were discussing among them, but the facial expressions of the receptionist were annoying. Be patient because the customers are tired, need rest after a long journey and choose to stay at the hotel which they prefer. Use your social skills to entertain them wisely.
