Be very careful of this hotels cancellation policy. We thought we had cancelled our booking and made the mistake of not rechecking our emails for cancellation confirmation. We were charged the fully cost of our 5 night stay without any communication from the owners Panos and Flora. We tried to explain our situation but owners showed no compassion or empathy for an honest mistake and refused to refund any of our money. Be careful as this hotel does not reach out to upcoming guests to remind them of their reservation.

This is the 14th time I have stayed at Ippocampos. The location just outside of the bustling center of Adamas is central to exploring the island without necessarily having to rent a car. The host family is simply wonderful and caters to your every need. The rooms and surroundings are kept immaculately clean, the view from my balcony is heavenly, and the local beach is close by. And not least the recent addition of a central breakfast buffet is amazing! My advice is to plan for more that just a couple of days here. Milos is a fascinating island, so give yourself time here instead of just saying "hello" and "goodby" and hopping away to another island. You will not regret it!

The location is great, it’s a 10 minute walk from restaurant and the port. The area was quiet and the hotel was very clean and modern. We really enjoyed our stay there. We even had a view of the sunset.

The room is okay, but seemed overpriced compared with similar rooms in central Adamas. The check-in was chaotic. When I arrived the owner greeted me with “What do you want?” in an annoyed tone. Then said she had no idea of my booking, despite the fact that we had exchanged messages only one hour earlier. My room wasn’t ready 4 hours after the check-in time. She gave me no information about anything, not even the breakfast (which I decided to skip given the sloppy welcome). She didn’t give me the keys to the room but told me to wait outside the room until the cleaning woman was finished. She told me the reason the room was late in being cleaned was because “The girl cleaning the room was “on her period”  and was sat on the toilet for a long time”. Did I need to know that? Next morning she came to my room and very rudely instructed me to be out of there by 10.30am. My ******* check-out reservation said 11am. Whatever. I was glad to leave!  Would not recommend because the hospitality is non-existent.

We really recommend this hotel if you stay in Milos, Adamas. Clean and big rooms. We were two and even if we had been three, the room would be enough. 5 min minutes walk to Papikinou beach, 10 min walk if you want some sunchairs. 10 min walk into the village. Nice view towards the ocean. We had a room on first floor with a nice terass. We stayed for 7 nights. Friendly owner that gladly pick you up at the port when the ferry arrived, and very helpful

Cute little hotel on the outskirts of Adamas. Very friendly staff, good breakfast buffet. Room and bathroom are on the small side but clean and had a small balcony. A bit of a walk into town and the beach.

Out of the way and that is perfect. Get into the ground floor room and enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi. Take a walk through the beautiful room and walk out to the other side to the garden leading the way to the pool and the breakfast bar. Staff was an absolute star at this hotel. Need a car!

It was not clear that the average at best breakfast was not included, so at check out you get charge 12 euro a day which is very expensive considering that you can have a gourmet breakfast at the port for 14.
