The first issue for us was seeing the Don't Tread on Me Flag (yellow with serpent) outside the building on the tall flagpole next to the OH State flag and American flag, as seen in the picture for the hotel. This is completely inappropriate. This hotel is completely neglected with minimum staff. The carpets in the elevator and in our room were filthy dirty. The light above the vanity did not work. The vanity and tub did not drain efficiently. The TV in the suite area did not work, and the kitchen sink was leaking water. In addition, the ice machine on our floor was out of service, and we had to go to another floor to get ice. The pool is also out of service, and has been for months. The weekday breakfast was disgusting. Cereal, and apples only. No fresh brewed coffee were ever available. Coffee from the machine was not drinkable. My husband went next door to McDonalds to get coffee. We had to request housekeeping, which was a joke. They brought fresh towels and never made the bed up and day during our stay. We stayed for a wedding at the LaMalfa Party Center attached to the hotel. The only night there were other guests besides us in the hotel was on Saturday, the night of the wedding. Otherwise, we were the only people staying in the hotel the entire time. I felt like I was in the Shining Movie. The only vehicles in the parking lot everyday, were the two worker's vehicles parked in the disabled spots. It's easy to understand why nobody wants to stay at this facility. I tried reaching out to the Wyndham Corporate Care department, expressing my concerns as noted above. They informed me, this hotel is independently owned by a franchise. Obviously, this owner has no interest in maintaining a hotel that meets the standard of excellence expected by visitors and Wyndham..
