I had tried to book a night here but it was full. Fortunately I looked a few weeks later & they had a room. Stunning views done to the sea. Our room opened onto a herb garden with the view behind. The infinity pool was most welcome in 30c weather. We chose the 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings and each dish was beautifully prepared and delicate tasting. We couldn’t decide which course was our favourite. They accommodated our son who just wanted a la carte. Hospitality was friendly & courteous. We should have stayed another night.

We booked 3 nights as a relaxing wine plantation stay after completing a 9 day cycling trip in Sicily. Perfect location for our exploration of the southern and western parts of Sicily. Highest marks for staff and accommodation as well as food. Easy car access to surrounding sights. We also booked 3 nights at their apar**ents in Palermo—also a treat in a modern apar**ent well equipped and on border of central city. Used their guide planner as well for an excellent half day walking tour of the city to get our bearings and for suggestions of what to see on our own. Check their website for details.

Visited in August 2023 having visited 10 years prior- it is a fantastic spot with great views and lots of things to do in the local area. The pool is fantastic and having the beach club is a nice added bonus- we spent 2 days down there and enjoyed the food and ambience. In terms of the hotel - most of the staff were great and really helpful but a few front of house staff members were surly and honestly a bit aggressive with the sales pitch for having dinner or doing cooking classes etc. They ask you ‘what time you will join for dinner’ rather than ‘if’. We enjoyed our meal there but we didn’t feel we wanted to stay in the hotel 24/7 and enjoyed going to other local places- but when you say you’re not saying for dinner they are totally disinterested and a bit rude. It soured the stay a little bit but honestly it’s a great hotel with great location and the wine is fantastic. If you can deal with the hard sell then it’s worth it.

Lovely position into the vineyards of Planeta. Very professional staff, attentive to the detail! Food experience at restaurant was excellent! Not to mention the breakfast (all local products and above all fresh orange juice! A variety of delicious dishes, well thought! My suite had a good view on the country. I found well projected and organized also the service at the Insula beach!

Stunning setting, very convenient location to explore the area and excellent service. We loved the decor, breakfast was a treat, aperitivo by the pool made special by some interesting wine recommendations and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. If you are planning to visit the area, this is a great place to stay at. We highly recommend it and hope to be back soon!

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting run by an exceptional team. The location is perfect for exploring and for simply relaxing - this is a particularly beautiful corner of Sicily. The team are wonderful - from the moment of first welcome we were warmly taken care of - they are full of advice and the front of house really care about the hotel and you. The restaurant is lovely and a special thanks to Giuseppe who made our trip truly memorable. I hope we can return.

Set among gently rolling green hills with views of vineyards and olive groves, La Foresteria Planeta resort is the ultimate in peace and serenity. While our schedule did not permit time for the many amenities offered, we did enjoy a wine tasting among the ruins at Planeta’s Ulmo winery. The entire staff was constantly at the ready to offer the best in customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet as well as the chef’s creative, original and oh-so delicious dinner menu offerings.

We had an amazing lunch, in the midst of beautiful grounds, with a lovely view of the sea beyond and the vineyards in between. We found the staff to be very attentive and caring. Afterward, we strolled around the herb gardens, which we enjoyed very much. We wish we could have stayed here.
