Incredible place with incredible food. Rachel our host was wonderful and is a gourmet cook. Enjoyed Mia and the cat also. Visited 2 of the many wineries while we were staying there. Beautiful edible garden in the wonderful town of Martinborough. The place to stay.

Last June we had the privilege of staying at the Prodigal Daughter Gourmet Lodge with good friends where we were hosted by the fabulous Host and Owner Rachel Priestley. The rooms are beautifully appointed, Rachel's cuisine was simply outstanding (along with the wine pairing!). You have a fabulous business and visitor experience Rachel. We will be back! We were warmly met with some bubbles and treats and was shown a beautiful renovated cottage nestled in a magical garden. Great location close to town centre. We booked for an Italian dining experience on the Saturday night in the Gold Room and WHAT A MAGNIFICENT Experience that was! The food was out of this world, the care and attention to her clients is phenomenal and we will be hard pressed to have another dining experience top her's. The continental breakfast options were awesome, the barista coffee top notch and her home.made preserves were a highlight. We will be back for sure 😁 I can not stop smiling about our weekend. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The Prodigal Daughter Gourmet Lodge is conveniently located for easy walks into the Martinborough town centre and to local cellar doors. We stayed in the comfortably appointed Deluxe Cottage for two nights. Rachael was a friendly and generous hostess. All guests were invited to a nightly gathering where Rachael served complimentary champagne and canapés - a thoroughly enjoyable opportunity to meet fellow guests. We enjoyed our experience and would recommend the Deluxe Cottage to anyone visiting Martinborough for a short-stay.

We normally don't stay at a place like this. We saw it offered a restaurant and bar so thought that was an alternative to going out for a meal. This was never mentioned on our arrival. The room was fine, a lovely comfortable bed but I wasn't keen on all the bits and pieces on tables etc. There wasn't anywhere to put our things. The ensuite was far too small, once again no where to put things. We were given a lovely breakfast, which was much appreciated. Perhaps this sort of accomodation is not for me.

Für zwei Nächte durften wir die Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft von Rachel genießen. Auch wenn das Zimmer und das Bad für uns etwas klein waren, mit ihrer Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft hat die Gastgeberin alles wett gemacht. Ein reichhaltiges Frühstück mit viel Selbstgemachtem und vor allem das Vier-Gänge-Menü (Diner) der Gastgeberin mit Weinverkostung waren für uns Highlights auf der Reise. Gemeinsam mit zwei anderen Paaren bekocht zu werden mit wirklichen Delikatessen, kunstvoll serviert zu bekommen, ist schon was Besonderes.
