We’ve been a few times and have never been disappointed. The rooms, the food and especially the people are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and it feels like home from home. On this visit we brought some family with us (first timers) they were blown away. They’ve already said they want to come with us on our next visit. Happy 20th birthday we hope to be seeing you regularly over the next 20 years.

Our stay was fantastic, all we had been led to believe by family who have stayed with you previously. We had both (mainly my wife) had very stressful weeks and this was exactly what she needed to de stress. Staff where very friendly and efficient, without being pushy. Food in the restaurant and the advice on food and wine where spot on. Breakfast was superb.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Autumn Wine and Dine stay at the Wensleydale Heifer. Recommended by friends, we were not disappointed. Six of us combined a day of biking with a trip to Hardraw Falls. Super food, comfortable rooms with so many nice touches and friendly staff. Thank you!!

Exceptional as ever. personal warm welcome as well. all pre information was available to the staff and although the head chef was away the food from the kitchen did not show this proving the team work well together even without his oversight

We booked a Dine & Stay deal for our 30th anniversary. We had heard MANY positive reports about the Wensleydale Heifer, so decided to celebrate our 30yrs together in style. We were NOT disappointed!? We chose the “All Creatures Great & Small” room. It was perfect, it contained a bedroom area & seating area, so cosy & beautifully decorated. It was pristine!!. Lovely little touches like cakes & a small decanter with white port. There was also a fridge, located in the wardrobe, which contained beer, gin & tonic & soft drinks (this wasnt complimentary). There was also a small jug of fresh milk. We were allocated a dining time in the restaurant. We decided to go for 3 courses from the A La Carte menu (part of the stay & dine deal). The food was absolutely outstanding!! We had the sea bass on a bed of mushroom risotto, delicious, flavoursome & beautifully cooked. The chef is clearly a talent. The full English Breakfast was also a thing of beauty!? The staff were warm & welcoming from when we arrived to when we left as well as being attentive & professional. We had an amazing time & it was wonderful to celebrate our anniversary in such a gorgeous venue. THANK YOU!!!
