리야드 드 샤름 모울라우드(Riad Moullaoud)

The property is stunning, the room is beautiful and comfortable yet some challenges arise: No proper insulation makes the room uncomfortably cold in winter, although day temperatures are in the mid twenties. Another thing is that both shower and toilet are connected to the room without isolating door either, so privacy is abstract. For the rest, amazing place.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely experience of Riad Moullaoud. Although the place is a little dated compared to photos, mainly around the pool area, it is mostly well kept and felt like a hidden gem. The staff were all lovely and helpful during our time here, especially Suleiman - nothing felt like too much. The cleaning staff also were very attentive everyday! The stay didn’t come without a few hiccups, which were all managed well by the hotel staff. Upon arrival our room (The Junior Suite) was double booked so we were put in a smaller room for one night. Would highly recommend the Junior Suite however when we got there it was lovely! When arriving by taxi from the airport, our bags were immediately put into a trolley by a local when we got out and taken to the door… when he asked for money and we didn’t have any he wasn’t best pleased. Hotel staff helped and it turned out to be fine, but a heads up it is likely to happen! The location of the riad turned out to be great, not far from the main square, about 15 mins through the souks and helpfully located very close to La Maison Photographie museum which all taxi drivers were aware of so made it easy to access via cab too. Overall, Riad Moullaoud was perfect for what we paid - I would personally recommend the Junior Suite… for £40 extra a night you get a lot more room that the standard size. Thanks to everyone at the Riad, we loved our stay. Would have given 5* if not for the mishap with the room on the first night and if the terrace area was given a little more tlc.

Marrakech is not for the faint hearted and most Riad offer basic fundamentals. Once inside the peace of this Riad you can relax. Great location near the Souks and 15 minutes walk to Jamal el Fna. On arrival we were given the Begonia room which we were not impressed with..layout was awful, air conditioning not working and felt really oppressive; asked for a move to an upper floor room which was given with no question. This was a bigger room however the showers do not seem to come with fixed heads and have to be hand held. More hooks in the bathroom areas to hang towels etc., Breakfast was lovely and an adequate start to the day. Nice terrace area with plenty of seating and welcome plunge pool. Lunch and dinner available at the Riad but must be booked in advance. Staff are friendly, polite and accommodating; special mention for Isham, nothing was too much trouble for him and he was always happy to help with anything and will always have a place in our hearts. Also mention for Medi...again very helpful, always smiling and happy to help. Suleiman was kind to arrange a room to store our cases and shower before our late flight. Spa treatments very reasonably priced, I had the one hour relaxing massage which was great. Points to consider:- could do with a clean up on the terrace, furniture needed a good clean down as bird droppings on some chairs. Cushions and loungers were in need of a wash. Plunge pool needed cleaning around sides as considerable build up of 'scum' on tiles. Guests do enjoy an alcoholic drink either with a meal or when returning from an evening out, wine and beer was not always readily available. There is a jacuzzi that does not work and does not appear to get cleaned and there is only really the plunge pool for bathing. Overall...a clean up and general improvements. Marrakech is a magical experience and this Riad suited most of our needs ; with a few improvements this Riad could be very special!

Stunning riad - very authentic would recommend staying here if you want a true Marrakesh experience. I would definitely return. Rooms were beautiful. It seems family run and the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Location brilliant walkable to medina/souks/square. Breakfast was delicious and is chosen for you and is a mixture of morrocan sweets and savouries with juice and coffee. And is served on the terrace which is super peaceful. it does not feel like you are 10 minutes walk from the buzz of the medina. And the hotel is very clean. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that the wifi isn’t great in some areas especially not in our room didn’t get any service but in communal areas like the lobby it was fine. And the terrace pools don’t seem that clean, they could do with a sieve/filter daily as there seemed to be dust and little bits in there.

We booked multiple rooms, some of them are better than others. The breakfast is reasonable. The riad is connected buildings so it is a bit of a maze. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful staff I've ever come across, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The Riad was quite spacious and having various common areas for relax. The roof top was good where I could enjoy the privacy with breakfast there. However, the Riad and the room were old and need some maintenance. I was expecting having mint tea and some snacks as greeting, just like what other Riads did. Unfortunately there were nothing for this riad. The staff could be more friendly and helpful to share the arrangement of breakfast, WiFi and payment of stays. I was asked to pay the night before check out day.

Nous avons passé un super séjour au riad. Le personnel était au petits soins avec nous, très agréable et souriant, toujours soucieux de notre confort. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux. N’hésitez pas à demander au personnel pour le jacuzzi, chauffer la piscine etc… Je recommande fortement, j’y retournerai sans problème !

Nous avons eu le plaisir de passer 6nuits dans ce magnifique ryad, un accueil très chaleureux et sympathique. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une chambre incroyable. Ce ryad situé dans un quartier populaire, est proche d'excellents restaurants et à 15min de la place.
