Our first meal here, was a bit of a disaster, as what we ordered, we didn't get and when we got our meal it was almost cold and the quality of the beef was dreadful. Others had received excellent cuts, but not my wife. Ok. It's the very start of the season after some difficult times, so some concessions can be permitted. The rooms are great. The pools are really good and in beautiful garden surroundings. However, the food is predominantly tepid/lukewarm, often bland and the choice at the buffet just ok. Salads fine. Sweets/dessert items fine. Ice cream gorgeous. Savoury dishes so-so. But that's from the point of view of someone from the UK, who is used to being served hot food, with some sesasoning in it. Staffing levels seemed a bit low and you never knew which bar, if any was actually open. Improved a little as the week went on, but not reliable. The two who seemed to be the barmen, were also acting as waiters, so that didn't help. I hope that as the season progresses and they get into their stride, that everyhing is as good as this lovely hotel deserves. We still enjoyed our stay, but it could have been so much better. We were on half board, but others were on bed and breakfast. Some good restaurants within walking distance, so, whichever you choose, this is a really comfortable mostly quiet hotel, with its adjacent Acacia Marina and shared facilities.
