TH Tirrenia - Green Park Resort

The hotels spa is not functional and hasn't been working since 2020 this is a big let down as we booked with this in mind. the rooms are faded, the shower leaked and wasn't fixed even after a request was made.no tea or coffee facilities a kettle was provided on request but no cups or spoons. cleaning was not thorough, dusty under the chairs and beds, and some days beds weren't made or towels changed and no toilet rolls were replaced. the meals were adequate but not great. the service staff were friendly and efficient. the resort is half closed and some buildings abandoned. the shopping area close by has a supermarket and boutiques, a few cafes which are nice. the hotel doesn't have a lunch menu only the pool bar is limited. It could be so much better, if the balcony furniture was improved and the rooms upgraded. there wont be much repeat business from the UK as everyone we spoke to was dissatisfied. bus service is hourly to levorno or pisa, or 10 mins to terrenia but theres not much there either. 5/5

I wasn't expecting much given the price, but there is a lot of room for improvement here. If you want something away from the busy-ness of the main tourist towns, Livorno is a great place to stay, and a very quiet enough town that you will forget how close you are. Pros- very good price, nice location right beside a supermarket and a few restaurants. It was easy to get snacks and drinks to take back to the room as the pool-side bar was quite pricey. It wasn't too busy so could always get a good spot by the pool if wanted. Close enough to jump on the bus into the city but in a nice quiet part of the beach. There was a safe and mini fridge in the room. Cons- only one small bottle of water was provided and wasn't replenished every day. The room itself needed updating, it felt like there was a lot of lamps just to fill the space of the room and a lot of empty space (maybe a table and chairs to fill the space would be helpful as well). There was a huge "health and wellbeing centre" on the map, but when we walked round it was an empty building that looked like it had been abandoned for some time, a huge missed opportunity for them to have a spa or indoor pool. The breakfast just isn't up to par for the price paid, there was almost no vegan options, and was very standard. If you wanted a healthy breakfast there wasn't much: 3 hot food options (sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs), 2 cereals, 6 kinds of cakes, 2 syruped fruits, only white bread (wouldv'e loved a wholemeal option) with a toaster, and "fresh fruit" which was only some whole apples and kiwis that looked like they had been there for a while. The coffee was abysmal, which for a country known for having amazing coffee this was a shock. The "fresh fruit juice" was nothing more than syruped juice from a dispenser. There was at least some snacks and a lot of spread options. I'm glad we never paid for dinner to be included, but the menu looked very bare and judging on the breakfast I don't see it being that great. All in all it is an okay place to stay if you want a cheap getaway, but there is so much wasted potential on this property, and much room for improvement.

Good hotel for this price. Close to sea, beautiful hotel territory. Very friendly personal on reception. You can order a transfer from the airport. Bad cleaning service in the room, this is ruined the impression of this hotel, but not ruined the vacation

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We read the reviews so we didn't have high expectations but it was way better. Our room: Quadruple Superior room was very clean, spacious and nice. The area is also very clean and nice. The staff is helpful and the services are way superior than in other hotels. The food indeed is not very delicious as you would expect it in Italy but there are plenty of choices so you will definitely find something that you like. Plus the staff is willing to help you so you will get the best experience. I missed the body lotion and hair conditioner but maybe I'm just picky. The beach is close "La Spiaggia" and the partnership between the hotel and this beach is very helpful, plus this is the best beach. All in all it was a very nice stay and I would happily return there.

The resort was great. Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and tidy and close to the beach. In my honest opinion, the bed were a bit stiff, but didn’t had any influence on my sleep. Also the airco in the room was really pleasant

Very good hotel to spend a weekend at the beach. I didn't experienced the meals or any other facilities, but the hotel is very close to the beach. The room was very large, also the bathroom, very clean and nice. The supplementary bed was not that cozy.

On arrival, the overall look of the hotel is quite impressive - clearly well maintained and reception staff were all helpful and friendly. We had a hire car for the duration of our stay and, fortunately, had pre-booked a parking space beforehand - without this, you'd be hard pushed to find a space during the day. Mostly metered parking 08:00 - 20:00 but some free spaces also. This was a local parking area for the beach also hence why it was so busy during the day. We stayed in room 315 which was quite a walk over the other side of the hotel grounds. To be fair, we had knowingly booked a "basic" room and that is what we got. The room is perfectly functional but, clearly hasn't been updated for many years and looks a bit dated and tired. The A/C however was effective and welcomed in 35 degree heat! On arrival, the room was lacking a kettle and one of the beds was missing a number of slats - both were reported to reception and dealt with in a short time. A kettle and tea/coffees were provided (although the plug was not compatible with the sockets in the room) and the bed was swapped out. The pool was great - very clean, not too busy and plenty of beds available. We didn't interact with the lifeguards but, they seemed friendly and pretty relaxed. Pool caps are required at all times - bring your own or purchase from the bar for €3 each. I didnt like the idea at first but, having been attacked by other people hairs in the local waterpark - I did come round to it in the end! The beach is approx. a 10 minute walk from reception. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented for €20 per day - a voucher can be purchased from reception. The beach was pleasant, plenty of beds and the lifeguard friendly and helpful. We didn't find that there was a huge amount to do in the local area. Whilst there are an abundance of restaurants, only a couple are within walking distance and the rest are so spread out, you cannot really go out on a whim hoping to find one - you really need to know where you're heading and perhaps check the menu online. The is a bit more hustle and bustle a couple of miles up the seafront but, unless you're up for a long walk, you'll probably be better off in a car, on the bus or taking a taxi. There is a "mall" out the front of the hotel which has a bit of atmosphere to it during the evenings - a couple of restaurants, a bar, a couple of ice cream shops and a couple of small fairground rides for very young children.

The resort is located in quiet and beautiful surroundings. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant food is excellent and the evening meals are varied. The two pools are very pleasant. However the need for pool caps is not spelled out in the website and the pool sells the caps for €2.50 each, which just seems like a way of charging guests for using the pool. But my biggest gripe is the 10am check out which is far too early for a hotel and once again is not shown in any of the literature on the website. If you are looking for a quiet resort out of town close to the beach, then this is a good choice.

Had booked a superior room but don't know what was superior about it. The water would fill up in sink and bathtub when showering. Dog hair on the couch and blankets. Mostly just sweets for breakfast. You couldn't swim in the pool without a cap (wich they charge you 3 euros for). No views. Just expensive. Choose something else.
