Margaret River Guest House

This was our second visit to Margaret River Guest House, this time we went with my parents who were visiting from the UK. It really is a wonderful place to stay and is conveniently located within walking distance to town. The gardens are beautiful and its lovely to sit out on the verandahs and enjoy the peace and tranquility. The rooms have everything you need with a large comfortable bed and the breakfast provided is amazing. It really does provide that personal touch - Lisa and Kieran are wonderful hosts and go that extra mile to make sure their guests are well looked after. We will definitely be back.

I must admit that this is not the first time I have reviewed this place but am not going to apologise as believe you can't praise quality enough. Having spent a wonderful, albeit short, time here last year we were determined to return so in March we revisited this time for a longer period. The owners, Lisa and Kieran, remembered us from our last visit and made this visit equally as wonderful. The place is of the highest quality with impressive rooms and lounge areas - we spent 3 nights in the Sanctuary Suite and 2 in the Trinity suite both very different but both with equal charm and comfort. Breakfast is amazing and Kieran goes over and above to ensure they are both interesting whilst also being incredibly tasty. My wife is a partial vegan (now eats some eggs etc) but also has gluten intolerance issues and once again her requirements were met without any complaints even to the provision of coconut yoghurt, dairy free milk and spread and gluten free bread. They say a home is only as good as the people inside it and in the case of Margaret River guest house that is epitomised by the wonderful owners from their warm welcome every morning to the help and advice they provide to the wonderful cakes Kieran makes for afternoon tea. Can't wait for hopefully our next visit next year - if you think Australia is too far to go then one visit to this wonderful guest house will keep you travelling there year after year. What a fine and friendly bed and breakfast! Central but very quiet. Beautiful Old English style rooms. Excellent breakfast in cosy room. Very good advises for visiting the whole area. You feel yourself very welcome. Personal taste. And every day a delicious cake!

We stayed with Lisa and Kieran for four nights and are so glad we did. Clean, comfortable room with a really good bed and bed linen, our own verandah to sit on for afternoon tea (amazing cake every day) and Kieran’s breakfasts are amazing. Made to feel very welcome and Lisa is a don’t of local knowledge. If we return to Margs we know where we’ll be staying! Thank you.

Had a lovely long weekend here. Check-in was easy. Afternoon tea was available in the lounge on arrival. Our room was large and spotless. Linen and towels are good quality. Great sized fridge in the room with a kettle, coffee machine and fresh milk. Met Lisa and Kieran the next morning for breakfast. Huge selection of cereal, fruit and bread, as well as a super cooked breakfast every day. The location is brilliant, right behind the main shopping area. The gardens are lovely. Could not have asked for more and we will definitely be back. Thank you Lisa and Kieran!

Highly recommend this character filled guest house with lovely hosts Lisa and Kieran. Room had everything we needed, is an easy walk into town and a perfect base to explore the local area. Lisa has lots of local knowledge and always worth a chat when planning your winery visits. Comprehensive breakfast with excellent and different hot options each morning. Plus the added bonus of afternoon cake following a hard day at the cellar doors. Thank you both for an amazing stay.

A great experience, Lisa and Kieran run a great operation. Comfortable room, lovely home made breakfast and super afternoon cake. Also very knowledgeable about activities and sites worth seeing in WA.

Very nice and friendly Guesthouse where the owner Lisa and Keiran take very good care of their guests. The breakfast is very good, fresh food and local specials, every day there ist another warm cooked dish for breakfast. As the owners know the aerea very well, they can give you very helpful information about what you can do. Our room was very nice, big with seating aera and large bahtroom. The bed was very comfortable and you get 3 different pillows to choose. Next time in Margaret River we will for sure stay again in Margaret River Guesthouse.

“Hospitality at its very best!” Can’t disagree with that. The electricity was off at the guest house with guys pulling wiring everywhere and it was cold and dark so we wandered into town and found a busy bakery for a drink. When we got back the the heat and light was restored and the guesthouse was warm and welcoming. Big bed, settee, table and chairs, shower and decent TV. Sockets next to the bed. Noisy birds in the garden and animal noises at night but good nights sleep and a beautiful place to stay. Excellent breakfast and got chatting with people from Sydney and from the Netherlands. at the guest house and another excellent breakfast. Great recommendations and info on local attractions. Close to town centre which has lots of shops and eating places.
