Blackfin Resort and Marina

Please do not be mislead by the word resort. This is not a resort at all, it a motel with what looks to be some permanent residence there. The room was clean, I’ll give them that but it’s it. We checked in and almost checked out! I wish would have left especially while trying to sleep our neighbors sat outside on the walkway smoking and the AC pulling in the smell inside. There’s no real area much to relax no bar or restaurant. Walking to the “beach” /tiki area, we felt like we were waking through someone private back yard at the marina.

Please disregard any negative reviews because they are out right lies. We stayed here for 7night and it was perfect. Check in was a breeze and we even checked in early no issues. The room was in perfect shape and couldn't be any cleaner. The house keepers were polite and on the ball. The room was cleaned everyday without issues. The grounds are perfect, quite safe and couldn't ask for anything else. The beach was clean and private and the pool was too. So if your looking for a nice clean affordable place Blackfin resort is the one.

To call this property a resort is a total misrepresentation. It is an older motel probably from the 1950s which was way overpriced. It was clean but the bed, pillows and couch were not at all comfortable. They allowed dogs which was why we picked it but would not stay there again.

DO not stay here !! If you want to use the toilet or shower - don't mind the black mold and a toilet which should be junked. The toilet seat was beyond disgusting. Take my word for it - find somewhere else !! The General Manager, Chris and Ruthie, are of no help in keeping their word stating they had cancelled our reservation. They agreed to cancelling our 2 nights only to be credited one night. Your choice but you have been warned.

Very nice, quaint, cottage-like hotel on the water. They have a walkway next to the water and you can put your boat in the water there. Lots of sea life around seawall near walkway. We saw a shark and manatee near the boat docks too.

Great Motel near the sea. The room is well furnished and it is clean and comfortable. The room is quiet and quite big. The bathroom was clean and you have shower gel and shampoo. The only bad thing is the poor wi-fi connexion. The swimming pool is not big but Perfect for kids.
