It's a shame for the Hotel to have a reservation in advance for the Eurovision week at a good price, because it turns out that the hotel cancels our room for various reasons and lack of availability...after 3 days they have rooms again 4 times the price that we had the reservation... it is a shame for Malmo and for Sweden that this type of hotel businessmen use these tactics that in no country in Europe has happened to us Eurofans... Not in Lisbon, Tel Aviv, Kiev Turin, in our entire Eurovision tour we have not had more third world behavior than with this hotel... Shame!

This is the best hotel I have been to recently. A unique place with a cozy atmosphere and the best cuisine. The vegan dinner at this place was the best meal ever. Rooms equipped with unique DUX furniture and of course the most comfortable beds in the world! I love this place, I will definitely be a guest there many times.

We chose Hotel Duxiana to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and we arrived quite late the first night but were warmly greeted and shown to our beautiful room overlooking the canal. Belatedly we saw a mark on the bed head but given the late hour we didn’t complain and enjoyed a sound sleep in the otherwise comfortable bed. Upon reporting the mark on the bed head they immediately tried to remove it but established that the entire bed head would require removal and professional cleaning. The problem was easily resolved by moving us into the newly vacant room next door with equally beautiful canal view. We were impressed with the calm, problem solving attitude of all concerned. Another restful night followed in the spacious room and great bed. We were generously gifted two signature Duxiana cocktails (highly recommended!) in honour of our anniversary which we enjoyed after our dinner out. Naturally we couldn’t stop at just the one cocktail plus a cheese platter for one was ordered (which was very generous and more than enough for two of us!). Such kindness added to our special night as did the attention and excellent service. Breakfast was basic but more than enough. Ordered the scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, pancakes and fruit salad from the menu (we don’t eat meat) whilst also enjoying superb fresh breads, cheeses, vegetables, cereals etc from the buffet. My only criticism is they don’t have proper espresso coffee and I missed having a strong hot cappuccino. Fortunately their coffee was robust and tasted fine but not the same thing. Didn’t reduce our perfect rating though. We loved this intimate hotel where you felt seen and valued, and all the kind and enthusiastic staff we met (sorry we didn’t catch your names). Malmo was beautiful and we wished we’d stayed longer to enjoy the town plus Hotel Duxiana for at least another night. However we are grateful for the time we had there and the kind late check out we were also granted. Keep up the great work Hotel Duxiana team!
