라 메종 드 빌 - 베드 & 비스트로(La Maison de Ville - Bed & Bistro)

The hotel is very easy to find and has off-street parking. The owner, Simon, could hardly be friendlier or more helpful. He told us that, as a chef, he is an artist. At breakfast our first morning there, we found he was not exaggerating. The rooms are smallish but very comfortable. The wifi was easily logged into and was plenty speedy. The shower in our room was very European — read "snug", but we were able to look into other rooms (on our first night there, we were the hotel's only guests) and saw that the shower facilities were roomier. We live not too very far from Magog and, on future visits there, would definitely stay at Maison de Ville again.

The host was amazing and also a great chef. Breakfasts were something to look forward to. The property is in a safe neighborhood right in the heart Magog. Very walkable to great dining and Magog is a nice small town. Also, in driving distance to good attractions for skiing, hiking, wine tasting.

The owner has exquisite taste in decor and he is an amazing chef. I was not expecting two-course gourmet breakfasts, but they were delicious and beautifully plated. He is affable but not overbearing. The shower was hot and strong and the bed was super cozy. I would definitely recommend this and would love to come again!

Simon is an excellent host and a professional chef. Our 3 breakfasts were all exceptional both in flavour and in presentation! The house is an older home in need of some paint and repair, which is currently being done. It is well situated within walking distance to the lake and many restaurants. We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this B&B and would recommend it to friends.

We would definitely stay there again. The rooms were clean and the decor was artistic. We were close to downtown and enjoyed walking around Magog. Breakfasts were lovely.

Best place to stay in Magog! The home was clean, the family operating it was extremely friendly, the breakfast was fabulous! The home was very clean and very nicely decorated. There were beautiful details everywhere I looked. The common areas, the hallways and stairs, and the rooms. My room was spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable. The room had it's own bath and toilet. The shower and bath were very nice. The room had heat and air conditioning. The common areas were very nice, including a sitting room on the second floor, a deck off that room and the front porch. The dining area was very comfortable. The breakfast was worth the trip by itself. It was 5-star, not just pancakes and scrambled eggs. The family operating the home (Simon and his parents) are super nice, friendly and welcoming. Simon is an outstanding cook. Parking was a little tight but there is enough off-street parking for three or four cars and then parking on the street if needed. The B&B is only one block from the main activity downtown. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Magog and strongly recommend it.

The place was very nice and clean. Centrally located, can walk around to all the hot spots. The host was fantastic, great food and hospitality. The host also provided us with tickets to the festival that was going on. Great advice on local restaurants and shops. The stay was very pleasant, and would book again at this place.

This property is deceiving from the outside. It’s a cute building on the outside but the paint was peeling and the back driveway area a bit cluttered. Inside is beautifully and tastefully decorated - it’s very charming. Simon is a wonderful host and a superb chef. I can’t recommend the dinner and breakfast highly enough. He is such a talented chef. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his bed and bistro. It was an experience and both my husband and I are so pleased we went.

Simon is an impeccable host and an amazing cook. We not only ate amazing and inventive breakfasts the two mornings we spent at La Maison de Ville, but we also took advantage of the option to have dinner there. We joined two other couples for a 5 course meal that was absolutely incredible. La Maison de Ville is a block up from Rue La Principal, the main shopping and eating area of Magog. Our cozy room was furnished nicely with lovely amenities. We would definitely stay again.
