Good colonial style rooms. Good for those looking for peace and quiet

Mr.Pandian and Mr. Prabhu went extra mile and made sure we were more than comfortable through out the stay. A big kudos to them and their team who made our stay a memorable one. They infact helped how to play with peacocks and my children enjoyed a lot.

Location: Excellent. Away from hustle and bustle of the city and property is surrounded by lush greenery. Service: Excellent. All the staffs were friendly and always willing to help and make our stay utmost comfortable. Food: Breakfast had lots of options and tasty. Amenities: Did not use much so not sure. Rooms: Big enough, had very ancient look.

Hospitality at its best. Well maintained property. Excellent food and service. Huge rooms. Great views. Beautiful location. Worth every penny. Knowledgeable staff who are willing to help and go out of the way to make your stay memorable.

Nestled on a hilltop and approached via scenic drive, this vintage property in Madurai is a hidden gem in Taj/IHCL vast inventory of hotels across India. We went there as a family last year past mid-December 2023 and were received so warmly by their newly appointed GM Mr. Vishal Srivastava. After having a cup of chai with us, he helped us to a tour of this magnificent property which gave us a feel of being in a cozy hill station. The real highlight were the beautiful peacocks who roam around freely while essentially perhaps they are the real inhabitants of this place and us hu***s are just taking care of them on lease! We even got to feed the peacocks and they seemed very happy! Although everyone from Taj Madurai team did their part, we specifically want to point out Mr. Noor Mohammad, F&B ***ager for extra-ordinary efforts to help us with the best possible cuisine tailored to our requirements at a short notice. Madurai being a heritage city, world famous for the Meenakshi Temple has its own unique charm. A Taj there only enhances the profile of the city and the hotel may also help arranging the darshan, if you ask well in advance (and nicely, of course). We commend Mr. Vishal Srivastava, General ***ager of Gateway Madurai Pasumalai for the novel steps he has taken in his relatively short tenure to bring this Taj property into prominence and truly putting it on the map, as it richly deserves. We would always remain grateful to him for the empathy, care and understanding offered to us by him during our stay in Taj and beyond!

Experienced a Great Stay with pleasant city view especially at night and nice memory clicks at moon deck. Peacock paradise.Nice ambience, Neat, tidy environment and best staff courtesy rite from checkin to checkout & easy to reach in all aspects.

The stay was excellent and very comfortable. Enjoyed with nature and peacock surroundings. Rooms are spacious , clean and well maintained. Staffs are kind and very supportive. Good hospitality. Loved the Stay. Food was very nice but bit expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at the Taj Pasumalai. The property is beautiful and rooms were comfortable. Special thanks to Mr Soby,Mr Pandian,Ms Saina for their hospitality. We have stayed at Gateway Pasumalai multiple times but this we have experienced an awful service where the rooms & amenities appears a very desperate renovation. STP is not working and restroom/ bathroom smells very bad. Tap & shower not working as appropriate. Beds & pillows are not Upto the standard of Taj. For the price we paid, this time we felt a not worthy one. Staffs are good.
