스탠웰 하우스 호텔(Stanwell House)

On Sunday I drove from Salisbury to Lymington to enjoy Lunch, that stopped as soon as I stepped foot in the premises! Several staff congregating around the desk, I ordered a Orange Juice/Lemonade, and decided to sit inside the front of the Restaurant, unfortunately I was immediately approached by a charming young lady, who informed me that the whole Restaurant was fully booked, and that I could sit out in the Sun! or in the Orangery, which was like a greenhouse with it's glass roof panels. On leaving I was approached by a Young man carrying my drink, and a Lady manager, who should have been the person to convey the bad news, who then informed me that perhaps I should have booked, where on earth are these people trained how to talk to people like me, aged 72. Good result for me as I went across the road to my favourite cafe, beautiful crab 🥪 with weekend young people who could hold a conversation with me!

Four day stay here for a break and it didn’t disappoint. Welcome and check in was professional, friendly and exactly right, not too stuffy, not too over familiar and this was the standard throughout. The hotel is very pretty, very floral and feminine in decor in the restaurant and orangery. The bar has a great vibe and staff here are upbeat and chatty. Room was comfortable although the armchairs and sofa probably could be squishier to allow for a bit of sinking in at the end of the day. Bed, lovely, good linens and a nice soft topper on a quality mattress. Bathroom good. Could do with a magnifying mirror though (especially for contact lens wearers) and the floor needs a bit of a bleach as it’s a little bit grey now. We mentioned at reception that the room (17) also needs soundproofing where there is an adjoining wall. Our neighbours were not noisy at all but you could hear them talking quite clearly at times. Breakfast is quite delicious and good choices. A simple buffet for granola, English ham and cheese etc was available, not a huge choice but enough. The best staff I’ve have experienced in a very long time. Well done!

We have now visited the Stanwell Hotel twice since it opened and both occasions have been super. We are already booked in for next year🙌 The rooms are very clean and beautifully decorated and the Salt bar and restaurant facilities are lovely. The food is excellent and the staff ..Housekeeping as they do a super job and as said keep the room very clean best I have ever seen in a hotel. so well done you all 🤩Renata and Nieave in the restaurant and bar are super and they keep the wine flowing and James at the front desk ensures all is perfect for you! Lucy and Kiera are excellent front house as well ensuring all runs smoothly! See you all next year in June 2025! -Let's hope the weather is better then! ☀️

I went for lunch today and omg... what a beautiful experience from start to finish. Service and food were smooth and professnal. However, I would like to draw extra attention to Sharon. The housekeeping manager(I think). Her knoweledge and the time she gave was second to none. So much so I will be booking multiple trips back personally and putting the hotel forward for professional bookings. Thank you for bringing back professionalism back to hospitality.

Booked a table in The Orangery for Good Friday as we were staying in The New Forest over the Easter weekend and had our dog with us. Food was absolutely delicious - can recommend the Lobster Macaroni! It was so nice to dine in stylish surroundings with our dog, drinking nice wine and eating great food. Will definitely return.

Struck lucky with this hotel. Not expensive but good quality service and rooms. One of the rooms has double bed and a room off it with bunk beds. Good sized bathroom and wardrobes, restaurant and bar pleasant, taxi ride into Lymington…………..

We are regular visitors and enjoy our stay on each occasion with friendly and courteous staff, whether at reception, bar,breakfast or dinner. In addition rooms are spotless and great beds/linen. Free parking is available across the road. Food is excellent and dining available in main restaurant, conservatory, bar or if lucky with weather the patio area outside.

A very well thought desined boutique hotel and pub with an excellent restaurant. All staff are very well trained. We were greeted in the bar area by a professional young man who showed us our seats (unreserved) and took our order. Cocktails were very well made and very good polite service. We then went to the restaurant for a very well appointed area, great service and lovely food. Well done to the management for employing and training such good staff. It is DEFINITELY well worth the visit.
