We cannot fault the Lodge on the Loch, this was our first visit to Loch Lomond and the Lodge made it for us. We stayed with our two Spaniels, we were all made to feel welcome. There was a lovely arrival treat for all of us in our room. All staff are lovely, every person from reception to housekeeping that we encountered were happy, friendly and professional. Our room was a Corbett, it was perfect. It was large, clean, with a huge bed and bathroom, The glass fronted balcony was our highlight. That view! We could never tire or looking at the uninterrupted view of the Loch. We set our alarm early to catch sunrise, it made a beautiful view even better. One criticism would be - the pillows are poor, not fluffy, hard and thin but didn’t spoil our stay. There were two weddings during our stay. When staying in hotels in the past a wedding has took over and we have felt we were invading. It wasn’t like that at all, the wedding was in a separate area and didn’t take over paying guests enjoyment or the area we were in. Food was lovely, with a good menu to choose from, and not expensive. Be aware there is an automatic 10% service charge added. We tried to add a tip, a member of staff was honest and told us there was a service charge which we hadn’t noticed. The restaurant has the same uninterrupted view of the Loch. The area is stunning, so beautiful, green and picturesque. The village of Luss, on public beach next door has the title prettiest village in Scotland and it is. We had lunch and drinks in the Loch Lomond Arms - highly recommend. We didn’t use the spa, so cannot review. Overall, we cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is just perfect, right down to its fire pit, just like Love Island, I’ve got a text!!!
