라레스 드 샤크라스(Lares de Chacras)

Great location, great room, great common spaces including pool area. Everyone at a boutique hotel was very accommodating especially owner Andrea for personally taking us to the winery when we couldn’t secure a ride, concierge Carla for organising all our excursions( we had nothing booked prior arrival), Mary Luis at breakfast, Thomas at dinner and most importantly receptionist Nickolas, who had an answer for everything and made our stay a pure joy.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. There’s a reason why it’s rated best of the best on TA! Everything from the location to the accommodations and amenities, but most of all the hotel staff, make this place excellent. We stayed for four nights and I did not want to leave! The room was so well appointed and incredibly clean. It had a balcony that faced out onto the pool in the backyard and received the most brilliant sunlight in the afternoons. As for the staff, Ximena is spectacular and practically served as our personal travel agent! She helped me over a couple of weeks to plan our itinerary and recommended incredible wineries and restaurants for us to visit — as well as a bike rental. I cannot thank her enough for her guest service, wonderful suggestions, and patience with me! If you have any questions or requests, she will do anything in her power to make your trip amazing. I also must thank Nico and Jose at the front desk, Augustin and Tomas for driving us to various places, and all of the Lares restaurant wait staff. We had a truly fabulous experience thanks to all of their care and hard work. We certainly hope to return one day!

A lovely boutique property with great service. After check in, we were offered coffee & croissants, which was a lovely gesture. The room was very comfortable and large. Dinner was super with attentive service. The quality of service & food were excellent.

We loved this friendly, pretty, cosy hotel set in an attractive, leafy, quiet neighbourhood in Chacras. After visiting wineries, or Mendoza city, we couldn't wait to get back to the hotel and relax by the pool. The staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was gorgeous, with a very comfortable bed and excellent AC, and breakfast was delicious. It was the perfect way to end our two week holiday to Argentina!

So glad we found this place! Quiet and peaceful location steps from town. Spacious room with a great balcony, excellent restaurant, and service was fantastic. Jemina was so helpful in booking recommended wineries. Do not miss El Enemigo, unique and beautiful with great wines.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The English-speaking staff were very helpful, especially Maria Luz in the breakfast room, Nicolas and the nice lady on reception, and Augustin, the owner’s son who did the airport transfers. The hotel restaurant had a small but beautifully-prepared selection of dishes, in a relaxing indoor or outdoor setting. Good selection of wines from the cellar. We didn’t want to leave!

I can only hope that we were as kind and gracious as guests as the staff at Lares de Chacras were to us. A small hotel with beautiful grounds, including a pool and outdoor seating areas, where we spent several afternoons drinking wine and chatting. We were there for 3 nights - rented bikes and did wine tasting one day (all helpfully arranged by the staff at Lares de Chacras), went hiking in Aconcogua another day (with a breakfast to go provided by the hotel). Highly recommend the Argentine BBQ night - in fact the dinners at the hotel were so good I recommend eating there often! All in all, a fantastic place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at the Lares de Chacras... a small, quaint and very comfortable hotel. The room was large and well equipped with everything you can expect in a 4-star. We had a balcony overlooking the garden and pool... well worth the upgrade. The pool was very, very welcome after returning from touring hot Mendozan summer landscapes! The breakfast buffet was excellent... especially the super fresh fruits and tasty cereals. You can also order omlettes and expresso coffees off the menu. The kitchen was a bit inconsistent here... one day I had a fabulous poached egg with poached pear and blue cheese while my wife had the best, fluffiest omlette ever... the nest day the omlettes came out overdone and inedible. My wife's cappuccino was excellent one day, not so good the next. Fortunately, the buffet was always perfect. The staff here was consistently professional, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

This lovely, intimate hotel is strategically located at the foot of Andes mountains and in close proximity to world famous Mendoza vineyards. Clean and spacious rooms are designed in elegant rustic style. Hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended as "base camp" for wine tasting expeditions.
