Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas - All Inclusive

Beautiful views, great service and food. Normally I would stay away from buffets, but it was great.

Horrible customer service staff was horrible to me and my friend horrible stay over all I’ll never ever come back to riu and I will tell all my family and friends to stay away from this resort .

The service was poor. The staff was unfriendly towards black people. The service was slow. I felt unwelcome.

Doesn’t get any better than this for the price!! Gorgeous property, very clean, very good food for an all inclusive, amazing view and beach! Would definitely come back!

Nice place, no actual Mexican restaurants on the resort which was sort of disappointing but they did have one sort of Mexican Themed night.

Extremely hard working and pleasant staff. A huge effort to keep the resort clean and presentable to guests. Food options for the buffet were plentiful, and the upscale restaurants we went to were very good. Excellent pools and the ability to access the sister resorts was great as we could take our young kids to the water park at the Santa Fe. Will be back sometime!

Just hope you don't need anything from the Front Desk or Concierge. The facilities and site of the RIU Palace are beautiful; the food and food service are first class; the hotel property is as clean as one could hope for. So what's the issue? Well, there IS a telephone in each room, but it serves no real purpose other than to frustrate the guests. There are no buttons on it for Housekeeping, Front Desk or Restaurant. There IS a tiny sticker on the phone with extensions for the Front Desk, but nobody answers - ever. I called four times one afternoon, and after the last time walked the lengthy path back to the main entrance. There were no guests waiting with four attendants behind the desk. This all became a lot more serious when I took a fall in my room, hit my head hard on the floor, and again couldn't reach anyone on the phone. My wife had to run down to the Front Desk and back. The fall required medical attention in the room and then a bumpy ride to the hospital. RIU responded quickly, but the first person to arrive was the "Guest Services" rep, who subsequently took photos of me and the blood in the room without asking me first. She did assure me as I headed to the hospital that they would follow up with the hospital and me when I returned. I never heard anything from the hotel, nor did they offer us anything further. There are some people working on the Front Desk who do not seem to be enjoying their jobs or attending to guests. Changes needed.

Overall really loved the resort. The food was great, better than most resorts I have been to in Mexico. My one and only complaint is the staff and the service. We were given only one room key. When asking for another after losing the one given we were told there would be a $17 charge for another if two were not returned. The front desk clerk was more than rude about it. We were told they had a shortage of cards. My mother in law also asked for another and was told she couldn’t even have one without paying $17 each. She then went to get her credit card to purchase 2 and she was waited on by another clerk who just handed her two for no charge at all. No questions she just gave them to her. There was not one memorable staff member the entire 5 days. Room service was next to impossible. It says to order online but you cannot. When trying to call no one would answer. The water in our room was never refilled. We were given the run around about even that of who to ask. Again, beautiful place, was perfect for the 2 & 3 year old we had with but the service could use a huge boost…

Beautiful, well maintained property with excellent staff. The restaurants provided a nice variety of high quality food (Japanese, Steak, Culinary). We also enjoyed the breakfast/lunch buffets. While the property is all inclusive with no tipping required, we carried lots of 10's, 5's, and 1's to tip the staff.
