The rooms, amenities, and views were all breathtaking. The attention to detail and and thoughtful caretakimg was truly world-class! We were able to experience the Parade of Roses and the Rose Bowl to the most beautifully curated experience we could have imagined. Kudos! I recommend the Patrician to any and everyone!

What an amazing find! The location is out of this world. One that movie stars enjoy and one that you will never get tired of. At night you have the entire LA to your feet. Amazing. The hosts are amazing. TJ and his wife Jorie are both so good at making you feel home that after just a few minutes I felt I had known them for decades. The house is delightful, amazing, old and historic all at the same time. The decorations are just the over the top touch. The rooms are delightful, not that you will spend much time in them. Keep in mind two of their rooms are Jack and Jill bathroom shares. Something I personally do not do but if you are traveling with family or good friends that might very much be your option. The two Twins upstairs is what we opted for because of the bathroom being private. The room is small but very cute decorated and therefore certainly a good option. I would call it the tower room. Up the spiral staircase of this historic home, that alone is an adventure worth taking. This house is an old historic home. If you are expecting large generic decorated rooms this is not your place. You are not just meeting amazing hosts but also staying at a historic home with tons of character and history. We are so looking forward to another trip to LA just to be able to stay again with TJ and Jorie. ...oh and be prepared to get a really nice breakfast in the morning and a great conversation over coffee or tea. We did not want to leave. Thank you Jorie and TJ.

TJ was genuinely welcoming and endlessly entertaining. One of those interesting humans who seemingly effortlessly turn a stressful trip into a fun and relaxing weekend. Breakfast was our favorite time of day although happy hour was always good too. Best lemon drop on the planet!

This hotel is a unique property. You will not be disappointed by your host TJ. And yes, you will want one of his perfect lemon drops!

The Patrician is a rare and beautiful find. The location for a business, restorative or to go to any event at nearby event venues like the Rose Bowl can't be beat. Breakfast simple and generous. Rooms quiet and very private. TJ's genuine care to make each guest completely comfortable makes me want to return. And I will!

I rated Patrician as a 10, but in reality, it’s not a 10. It's more akin to a million! Places like this have an ability to elevate your sense of happiness, and my well-being is certainly worth more than a mere 10. Here are 3 reasons why Patrician should be in your bucket list. 1. The beauty. The sheer magnificence of both nature and the estate is breathtaking. Every piece of furniture and decoration is a masterpiece. The exterior grounds left me in awe, prompting me to continually snap photos on my phone. I felt transported to a picturesque Italian villa. The only difference is price. Picturesque Italian villas cost waaay more. 2. The host. TJ is nothing short of exceptional. I’ve been to numerous hotels and B&Bs but Patrician is a next level. TJ loves welcoming people and ensuring their happiness. Upon our arrival, TJ offered us delectable martinis, setting the stage for an engaging conversation. I felt as if I reunited with an old friend after many years. 3. The details. Any trinket is meticulously curated. For example, the towels. What is it made of, TJ? Angel’s feathers? The same level of excellence extends to the bedding, tableware, carpets—every facet exemplifies the highest standard. The only downside: why no one warned me in reviews that 1 night stay is not enough? I want more! A return visit is an absolute must for me! Don’t make the same mistake and book at least 2 nights stay to fully bask in the enchantment of Patrician!

My fiance and I came to Pasadena to elope. We reached out to the hotel to ask if we could have a small wedding ceremony on their property. They agreed. (A first wedding for them!) They helped us pick the ideal spot, snapped photos, provided flowers, and even celebrated the occasion with champagne. TJ and Jordie are the most incredible hosts and we plan on coming back to celebrate our anniversary! In regards to the location- it is a gorgeous and spacious spot filled with cultural artifacts collected from their travels. It is truly breathtaking, and meeting TJ and Jorie- the home is filled with love. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway. We appreciate you so much.
