Fraser Residence City

I stayed at Frasers Residence City in September 2022 , and it was a horrendous experience from start to finish. From unprofessional management to inadequate amenities, this place deserves no more than a 1-star rating. The Reception Manager, Annalisa, and the General Manager, Nora, were both extremely unprofessional and rude to clients. It was evident that they had no idea what was going on at the hotel and lacked even the basic understanding of how to run an establishment like this. Their poor management skills and terrible customer service made the entire stay uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The room I stayed in was filthy, with dust and grime covering the surfaces. It seemed like the housekeeping staff hadn't bothered to clean the room properly before my arrival. The air conditioning was not functioning, which made the room unbearably hot and stuffy during my stay. To make matters worse, the hot water supply was unreliable, working only when it felt like it. This made taking a shower a game of chance, which is not something I expect from a hotel of this caliber. The Wi-Fi connection was abysmal, with slow speeds and frequent disconnections that made it feel like I was in a third-world country. This made it nearly impossible to get any work done or stay connected with friends and family. Additionally, the noise from the clubs downstairs was unbearable. The loud music and commotion made it difficult to get a good night's sleep and further added to the overall dissatisfaction with my stay at Frasers Residence City. In conclusion, I would not recommend Frasers Residence City at 3 Lovat Lane, London to anyone. With unprofessional management, dirty rooms, inadequate amenities, and unbearable noise, this hotel is not worth the time or money. Save yourself the trouble and find a better place to stay in London.

2 experiences - first time I stayed, the apartment on the second floor (1 bed) was ok, size is generous for what you pay for in Central London but low ceilings / windows facing the back of buldings mean not a lot of natural light. Clean enough and appliances / bed / linens were ok. Getting in was a bit of a nightmare - they sent me instructions with a code that my keys would be in a key box outside the building...nada and took a lot of calls and waiting before 1. another resident happened to let me in the building & 2. turns out the keys were in a key box outside the apartment... didn't really see any staff and didn't need to as it was a work trip so work / sleep /repeat The second experience was dire - booked and received a confirmation email three weeks before my arrival - the day before I arrived and not having received any instructions re keys, I sent an email. On the morning of my arrival, I received an email from Nora, Operations Manager telling me my reservation had "been cancelled by the system" and therefore they have no apartment for me...... no offer to put me somewhere else, no call, nothing (actually she said i could have 2 nights complimentary the next time I stayed in the email she sent!) when i called Fraser's booking team, they promised to try and find something - nothing from them after 3 hours of waiting and with nowhere to stay now that i was in London. When i called the apartment itself and had the misfortune to speak to Nora, she asked to lower my voice as she was concerned about her mental health...very professional and when i pointed out that my mental health wasn't exactly in tip top shape, she put the phone down on me. End of day - i ended up paying far more to book something last minute so thanks Fraser Residence and Nora...you will not getting my custom ever again

Worst experience. Expected to stay for a month long vacation but the room was dirty, shabby with torn curtains, torn sheets, dirty rug, lumpy bed, flat dusty pillows. Wi-Fi never works on weekends, there were lapses of electricity, no water, none functioning toilet one weekend… They promised a refund when I finally had to move to another hotel but it’s been over 3 months and they don’t even respond to my repeated emails. Don’t ever stay here!!

The only positive point I can say for this property is the location. 3 Lovat Lane is very convenient for business and meetings in the city and located a short walk to the Thames. We stayed in a one bedroom executive suite on the 2nd floor. The actual condition of the suite was far more dilapidated than any photo shown. The chairs were old and ripped, the suite generally looked worn out, and the bathtub had two huge blob of black mould - I could not believe it. It was disgusting. See photos. On advising management, they provided chair covers to cover up the damaged chairs. They also did some construction to remove the mould and recaulk the tub. Why did they not do this before renting out the suite? That is in my view a sign of poor management - the suite should not have been cleared for guests in the condition it was in. The walls, floors and ceilings are thin and you will hear your neighbours. The WIFI in my suite DID NOT WORK and I could not get on WIFI all week. How can a business hotel have inadequate wifi? I travelled with a colleague and she had a studio suite overlooking Lovat Lane (with Eastcheap Records and Dirty Martini in full operation). Though her suite was not as dilapidated and she didn’t have mould, the noise kept her up to the wee hours. If you stay here and want to sleep do not rent a suite on the Lovat Lane side. My colleague’s wifi worked on and off. I had to do a zoom meeting in her suite. Overall I will not ever stay here again and cannot recommend this property. We were supposed to stay 1.5 weeks but checked out early - at least they refunded the balance.

Fraser City Residence is a gem in the middle London financial district. I had the pleasure to stay at 3 Lovat Lane for a (very long) stay, and I must say that I felt like at home. The staff is delightful and always eager to help. Nora, Annalisa and the rest of the team, went above and beyond to deliver a top notch service and make sure my stay was unforgettable (and it has been truly unforgettable). The building itself is gorgeous, and it got even better (and breathtaking) when I walked for the first time outside the terrace of my room and saw the Shard literally in front of me. The rooms are really well designed and there is everything one needs for a long stay. I highly recommend this place whether you want to go to London for a short getaway or for a long stay.
