오차드 호텔(Orchard Hotel)

Fine room but very small. Good if you don't plan to spend much time at the hotel. The breakfast selection was very limited. Just toast with a selection of ham, cheese and marmelade or basic cereal. And eggs boiled way too much all days.

Location was ok, room was old and dated. Beds were very soft. Breakfast was very limited and not very good.

I had a basement room with a single window overlooking a light well. The main problem with this room was noise from nearby unerground line(s), several of which in this part of London are shallow, not deep, lines.There was a rumble from these lines every couple of minutes until late into the night and recommencing early morning, making sleep virtually impossible. This might not have been such a problem in a non-basement room. TV was faulty - reported to reception. Wallpaper was beginning to peel in places, not seriously but not great. No shower gel/shampoo in the shower, only handwash. Even in budget (but by no means the bottom end of the budget range) hotels I would expect shower gel/shampoo. After a full day travelling this lack was unwelcome. The breakfast was very limited, even by budget hotel standards, and the room too small, having to queue for a while to be seated. The breakfast staff were busy and cheerful, though which helped the atmosphere.

The room was ok - beds quite hard - they were only able to provide one extra pillow. Radiator leaking with towel wrapped round and carpet stained as a result. Didn’t realise there was no kettle or tea and coffee making facilities until we arrived. No adjustable heating and room was initially quite cold. It was ok for an overnight stay but be aware breakfast only served for a short window of time - it’s very basic although the coffee was good there was no tea - only hot milk in a teapot! Not enough tables for all the rooms so some people who arrived later were turned away until a table came free (nowhere for them to wait either). Wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than one night and was disappointed with the room tbh.

The place was outdated which is ok for the price but the front staff lady was not welcoming and acted annoyed or couldn’t be bothered by guest. Also the breakfast was the worst I’ve ever seen. Hard boiled eggs, one cold meat and toast. It was ridiculous. For the price you can stay somewhere else. The location was what I liked the most but staff didn’t make it a welcoming experience. Also there is no shower gel or anything provided for you. I don’t have high expectations other than the basics for 100$ a night. This was below that.

Stayed for 6 nights Pros: ○Clean overall (towel change every 2 nights, no sheet changes till end of stay) ○Spacious room for a inner london hotel ○Brekkie included ○Lift access ○Short walk to both paddington and lancaster gate tube stations, good public transport accessibility Cons: ○Extremely inconsistent hot water, expect to freeze, burn and be at bliss all in 1 session ○Expect a lot of ambulance noise as St Mary's Hospital is just one block away ○ No "Do not disturb" signs, sleeping in might be problematic

Cold Rooms and Breakfast was below par. Would not recommend but for the price, was about OK
