햄 야드 펌데일 호텔(HAM Yard Hotel, Firmdale Hotels)

I always think you can rate a hotel by the way it tries to resolve issues. Well the Ham Yard hotel totally fails in this respect. As much as it pains me to write this review, my experience today has left me no choice but to write it down. My family and I booked to use their bowling alley online and I paid full price for 4 adults as they don’t offer booking for children. However, I remember that children bowl with a discount. Two days before the booking they emailed to ask if I had any questions and I asked this very question. Tumble ****. Nothing. So I waited until the day and asked at the desk. They confirmed children bowl with a discount and the desk staff said he would follow up and get back to me. Fine. His manager then appeared and asked her. Sorry there’s nothing we can do, we can’t refund you. Next time book 2 adults and then pay for the children when you arrive. I was frankly astonished. Everywhere can process returns. The only thing stopping you is reluctance. I told her this and she said I should contact reservations. Seriously? I went upstairs and asked at reception. No there’s nothing we can do. At this point I was incredulous. We’re talking £20 and nobody can process a discretionary refund? They call somebody else. I’ve now spoken to 4 people and I’m being treated like it’s my fault. Why didn’t I book by phone I was asked, then we could have booked you in for 2 adults and 2 children? Because they explicitly tell you to book online! Unbelievable. Sorry there’s nothing we can do. It’s not even that much money, I was purely persuing it as we’d been overcharged. I told them as a regular customer of their hotel, the bowling alley and their restaurant it was really very poor that a) they couldn’t refund £20 and b) that their attitude was very ‘can’t do’. For any American readers here, if you want an example of poor British service this is it. They won’t attempt to go above and beyond to rectify any situation. Find a better hotel.

What an exquisite experience !! Greeted beautifully by ALL staff, gorgeous interior was a feast for the eyes … and then the room !!! What a lovely intimate space .. and the bed - just delicious comfort !! Very happy I chose to stay @ Ham Yard Hotel - will be back for sure

Accommodations exceeded our expectations. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms (we had adjoining rooms) were more than ample in size. The service was very accommodating. The staff was always quickly available with recommendations, always quick to ask if you need anything. Loved the bathtub with the tv screen to watch. Can't beat the location. Loved the Hideaway coffee shop located just around the corner. Would absolutely stay here again.

I come here several times a year, but the service is getting worse every time. This time asked for an early check-in. Result: the room was ready at 5pm instead of 3 pm. Then the room had not the ordered sofabed, instead just a sofa. told the reception, no it has a sofabed. Ok, show me. Oh it has no sofabed. Hm, but where will the kids sleep? both in one small extrabed with 80cm. They are crazy here! Never brought another one. The concierge did not get a table in any restaurant. If I asked him for something - whatever- called 2 restaurant and then gave up. Luckily somebody of the others came to gave me a tip, which worked. The bathtub made an annoying farting sound when the hot water was turned on. Never repaired. Location good, design good, service bad. Result: overpriced

I have been able to stay at a number of the Firmdale Hotels over recent years, and eat regularly at their restaurants. This was my first stay at Ham Yard, on a weekend in London with my spouse. Having had positive experiences at their other establishments I was slightly apprehensive about trying a new one. I need not have been. Our experience was excellent. From our greeting at the front door and reception, to our trea**ent in the restaurant at breafast, and requests of room service. There are always plenty of staff available to attend to guests' needs - all of whom are friendly and clearly enjoy working at the Hotel (the gentleman who came to collect our room service tray was very chippa, and we commented on this. His response: "I love working here!" - how often do you hear that?!). The decor of the hotel is amazing and everything is maintained in excellent condition. There is impressive attention-to-detail, and nice personal touches to note special occasions or return visits - all which make your stay feel extra special.

I attended an event at the Ham Yard hotel in May 2024. The food was unbelievable and the event ran extremely smoothly with great facilities and support from the onsite staff. The team that went over and above though was concierge and in particular Patrick. What amazing service and support. Thank you very much and look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you

Absolutely outstanding! The relaxed a**osphere, comfortable surroundings, and chairs that don't cause backaches are all wonderful. The service was excellent and allowed us to sit quietly but still be attended to if we needed anything. We had afternoon tea, which was very delicious. Sandwiches were made to our tastes and allowed for changes. Scones were served hot, and the little cakes were delicious. We took doggie bags home.

Absolutely lovely 5 star hotel in London! This hotel has it ALL! The beautiful decor is absolutely stunning!! Can’t say enough about the decor….it was even better than the photographs on the website. The entire hotel smells divine! The rooms are very comfortable and the staff was very attentive. Lovely breakfast and nice bar area. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel that doesn’t feel too big or too small, book this hotel! It’s absolutely perfect in every way! I will be back!!!

Great hotel. , stylish and comfortable. Good food options and nice service. Room service was tasty too! I’ll come back for sure and recommend my friends. It is expensive but I would say worth it as the service is friendly and kind and nice facilities
