The Orangery - Bnb Suites

My best friend and I stayed in the Oxburgh Suite, Peartree Cottage last month for a mid-week stay. The Cottage was so cosy and we had our own private hot tub! The Cottage more or less has everything you need. If you are not planning on exploring the area then I would recommend that you take plenty of food etc. as the nearest shop is roughly 20mins drive away. The setting of this farm is absolutely stunning! The communication between Richard (The owner) and I was excellent from start to finish, I left a pair of earphones behind when we checked out and Richard very kindly posted them back to me. I would highly recommend this place during the Winter or Summer months.

Looking at some previous reviews I was a bit worried about our stay. But having spent last night there 5 of us 2 couples .we were very happy with our stay it was very quirky in a good way. Lots of space and had everything we needed. We were very comfortable there. Also very peaceful. Must be beautiful in spring and summer lots of lovely shrubs and trees growing around. Hopefully will return again.

Had a great stay at the Orangery, far exceeded our expectations, wasn’t sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Stayed together with my son and partner in the Blickling and the Fellbridge suites so chilled out on the seats in the lounge area before going to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular ( which was amazing) The Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the continental breakfast that was left in the fridge with milk and orange juice tea and coffee cereals was welcomed, couldn’t ask for anything more. The Orangery was off the beaten track so a bit hair raising down the country lanes at night but didn’t spoil our stay. Will return if we were ever that way again.

Arrived in the dark, unable to find the property as signage is not visible in the dark! Once in the gate met a rude woman who suggested she would have to move the horse box so we could park safely, they knew we were coming so why had they not moved it anyway?! She commented we should have received a text telling us where we were staying which we hadn't. She showed us to the property and left. Our bedsheet had a stain on it !! Breakfast consisted of do it yourself cereal, bread (in the fridge) jams /marmalades, cheap supermarket packaged choc au pain and yoghurt. No choices of tea. Only 1 person could shower due to no hot water!! Old bathrobes left for us which I certainly wouldn't have touched! This really wasn't acceptable, couldn't wait to leave! Totally disappointed as we were with family .

Lovely place in the peace and quiet. Barney loved the woodland area. Cottage was warm and cosy would definitely recommend a stay here. Visited the seals and explored Holt Country park. Friendly hosts both 2 legged and 4 legged. Holt Sunday market well worth a visit

We stayed in the Blickling Suite for a 2 night B&B break In October. Warmly welcomed by Richard. Generous sized rooms, comfy furniture, tastefully decorated. Ample breakfast supplied. Plenty of parking. Quiet location. No complaints at all. Would recommend.
