Silva Beach Hotel

Just back from a week at the Silva Beach and can honestly say I had a great time. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and efficient, some of the nicest hotel staff I have ever encountered and Pety and Nikos, the entertainment staff were lovely. There are steps and some slightly uneven pathways/slopes around the whole hotel so I would not recommend it to anyone with serious walking difficulties. A cat friendly hotel. The room was great, clean, plenty of room, a fridge with water included. Bathroom clean and a fair size. The room had a window and a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. If I was being picky, I would say it needed a smaller table as it was a bit of a squeeze. 2 lovely swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds and shades. Some of the small tables next to the sunbeds had seen better days but it didnt affect the holiday! The sea is very rocky near the hotel, there is a small, dark sand beach which is shared with another hotel. There are other beaches, just ask someone to point you in the right direction. Food lovely, especially the desserts! Only one slight negative that the toilets by the main restaurant needed new doors on the cubicles, they had just seen better days. Overall a really lovely hotel and holiday, I would certainly recommend it and would love to go back again.

It's a wonderful vacation inside Siva. Everything was perfect. The evening performances from the animation team were wonderful. Also, the volleyball. Everything was perfect. And also the area for For games such as billiards and table tennis it's amazing

Spa was super i was the first costummer off the season and rania has golden hands.!!!! Hotel was very good , nice swimming Pools and friendly staff.!!!! Food was good and tastefull.!!!!Lots of variation!!!! I would reccomnded it was my furst time it wqmas very good !

Good hotel Friendly staff Great spa (massage) experience. The staff work really hard Food was excellent.. such a lot of choice every single day Room was ok. Garden view wasn’t great, our double doors opened to a little table and chairs then a main road that was very noisy even at night. Good drinks choice for all inclusive. Pool areas are nice and cleaned every morning but hard to get a sun bed after 7.30 am. Private beach area were nice and the view of the sea was nice Close to loads of shops/bars/ restaurants Overall it was an enjoyable experience

This is a great hotel built on the style of a Cretan village. Whilst it is on the main road which is busy with lots of shops, bars and restaurants, as soon as you enter the reception area you will find peace & quiet.. Rooms are on ground or first floor in a variety of cottage style buildings. The rooms are perfectly adequate, reasonably sized and kept spotlessly clean by the daily room staff. The air con in the room is brilliant. The staff throughout the hotel are fantastic especially those at the main bar (the Romantic Bar.) & Kostas at the beach bar, who works tirelessly. The restaurant food was great. The selection, variety, quality and freshness was excellent and nothing re-invented from the night before. The Al a Carte restaurant were lovely & well worth booking. We ate out a couple of evening for a change of scenery. Sunbeds round the pool were a struggle to get but always found a bed at the beach. Lovely hotel, great staff

Silva beach hotel We as a couple stayed for 14 nights Transfer from airport took about 20 minutes The hotel is set out as a cretean village with beautiful gardens that are well kept, here are our thoughts Pros Hotels grounds are clean bins are emptied regularly Staff are very friendly Food is very good with plenty of choice ( but repetitive) Drinks are self service A few steps away from bars restaurants and shops We tried both the Italian restaurant and the prime burger restaurant, both are ok nothing special, you can only get wine, beer or soft drinks no sprits Cons Lots and lots of steps, not for the less mobile Hand rails are rotting in places Have to pay for the room safe Beach is very rocky and the sea is not easily accessible Sunbeds It’s a dash, be prepared to get up at stupid o’clock Romantic bar Some days you got good service some days you didn’t, bar staff were either talking on his watch phone or too busy talking to other staff and quite often got drink orders wrong House keeping Very hit and miss, some days you would get a bottle of water and some days you wouldn’t, balcony was never cleaned, on our first day there was an empty vape container, it was still there when we left our room one day was not serviced till 7pm and another day not serviced at all, you will know with most Greek islands you can’t flush paper down the toilet so lingering in the bin Another day a pillow case was not replaced so just had the pillow Bathroom Tiny tiny shower made almost impossible to shower properly, girls good luck with shaving your legs No where at all to store bathroom essentials The room Plenty of hanging space but only three drawers Dressing table had so many bubbles in the laminate looks like from water damage TV you can only get bbc news channel Beds were comfy There is a kettle and paper cups, but no supply of tea coffee or sugar (we just stocked up at the restaurant and took them to the room) Balcony Tiny tiny tiny just enough room for a table and two chairs, you need to be a contortionist to actually sit out there. The table is grimy, the chairs have holes in them and the railing is rotting in places Pool/restaurant Toilets Not always the cleanest, doors all need replacing, most evenings they became disgusting Tips:- If you get the bus into Heraklion you get this from outside the restaurant DOWNTOWN (same side as hotel) Cost of 3.10 each way pay on the bus (going only) Is about 45 minutes Drop off at the bus station then a good 10 minutes walk Returning you have to buy tickets from the bus station ticket hall, then check the screens for which bus number and what stand You need stop 22! In Hersonissos DONT leave sun cream on your sun beds it will get stolen And lastly The whole hotel need’s refurbishing I would certainly not rate it as a 4* For us we would not stay here again, and we can’t understand how this hotel is getting 5* reviews

This is the first time that I have written a hotel review online. Written mainly because of how accommodating the management were to the needs of my 8 year old daughter, who is recovering from Leukaemia and a transplant. They could not have been more thoughtful, securing us the room we needed for the health of our child. Silva Beach is a fantastic hotel. Normally, hotels and resorts are in the middle of nowhere, due to the lack of space in towns and cities. But Silva Beach manages to be a good sized hotel, spread out in really nice villas, on the seafront, but also in a large town, with all the shops and restaurants you could possibly want. I highly recommend. Jon

Our third visit here and as always staff, food, accommodation and location excellent. The staff work hard. We so enjoy just relaxing and swimming in sea and pools. But lots to do nearby.. A walk to the harbour and lots of shops nearby. We will return next year.

The hotel is really nice and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Issue on arrival with the room however thus was dealt with very efficiently and promptly. A great surprise for my 50th and my daughters birthday. Thank you
