We had lunch here, very comfortable and a nice “carvery”. The carvery wasn’t just traditional food and we had nice stir fry’s and beef curry. The service was good. We will pop in again the next time we are in the area, the decor or the hotel in general was lovely

Sorry to say, but the Bagenal as it called locally is not what it was . I love the staff and the owner is a great guy however post Covid pricing is ridiculous and the menu needs updating for sure. The Bagenal has a loyal following and I was one of them. Maybe a new menu relaunch would be a great marketing idea. BTW keep the breaded ribs .

Disgraceful! We were seated at 5:30pm, ordered, received our food and then were told that they needed the table back by 7pm. Rather than ask or tell us before hadlnd , they used consistent intimidation tactics to move us. The food was medicorcre and far too expensive for what it was, mascarading as a 4 star hotel. Mr. Kehoe....€6.50 for a pint is not justifiable for what your establishment is, riding on the back of weddings and Willie Mullins. Yes...Ye are locals and you have ABSOLUTELY lost out family and friends and out influential word of mouth will dona dent on your turnover. Simply, the Lord Bagnael does not have value or quality. Feel free to reply for a sit down, explanation, apology, and we will think about it

The food was poor quality chicken was dry the catch of the day was tasteless and chips were reheated no vegetables and over all it was priced well above what I would class as poor quality food really disappointed as the hotel is nice and the service was good

We stayed at the hotel for several days and were very happy with the rooms and facilities. The staff provided wonderful, attentive and friendly service. I’d have to give special mention to the whole breakfast team especially Karen who was always prepared to go that extra mile and make my Mother in Law very comfortable. Also a big shout out to Joe and Niall who offered a wonderful welcome and finally it’s always good to see James and Paddy. Keep up the good work.

Excellent stay .We have been many time and the standard we expect has not disappointed. Both the food and the service was above and beyond. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. We'll done to all the staff and thankyou for providing such a friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

Beautifully decorated hotel. Great atmosphere. Wonderful food and staff. Rooms perfect. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Can't fault a thing. We will be back. Thank you.................................

€19 for a very small portion is absolutely ridiculous. I have gone to other premises and the average price for Sunday lunch is €16-€17 and the portions are excellent. I couldn’t believe the plate that was given to me. I doubt I’ll be back as there are far better places around.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Staff were amazing and the rest of the hotel was also fantastic. Our room was a suite and really beautiful. Had dinner that evening in the bar and the food was top class. Mixed seafood yellow curry was top notch and haddock and chips equally so. Excellent wine list and we had a Lugano, I wouldreally recommended it. Real fires lighting and ambiance was warm and cosy. Waitress and barmen were super professional and friendly and we had a lovely evening. Would definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone staying in that neck of the woods.
