Premier Inn Leicester Fosse Park

There's a good number of Wow's to be expressed as congratulations to Premier Inn here. The outside of the premises looked horribly dated but I couldn't of been more mistaken the interior bar / dining area was sumptuously decorated... The food was fine but the cherry on the top for me was pleasure my heart received from the waiting staff, all seemed to get on harmoniously and I noted the pleasure that everyone who was served must hearts lifted as the radiance of Emma and Ellie in particular is something very special indeed. If there was a Golden buzzer, there is no shadow of doubt that every one of the clientele would have there hands piled high to honor to witness from the mature to the senior citizens the all to rare essential nature. It was an absolute honor to behold the resonance. So from however the hr hiring manager was or is, training strategist and so on, mums , fathers sisters / brothers. Friends and families, it's 3 million yes's from me. Congratulations your through to the Grand Finale. And I mean that Sincerely. To the entire team I wish you the very best of love & luck. Stayed here for one night, booked as it was close to where I was working the next day. This place is truly awful, similar to 1970s student dorms. Upon arrival the reception staff where truly lovely and absolutely deserve praise for working here and putting up with the constant dissatisfaction from guests. My room was tiny and smelt of damp with the windows full of condensation , I tried to put the heating on but it was broken. I reported it to reception and to be fare maintenance where there in 5 minutes and resolved the issue. Bathroom was abysmal, the worst , and I use this term lightly, shower, I have ever experience in a Premier inn . The curtain rail was rusty and vile, the trickle from the shower embarrassing. I stay on at least 3 Premier inns per week and trust me this us by far the worst. Avoid at all costs until it’s refurbished.

Stayed at this absolute shambles of a hotel with rude staff and manageress. I requested rooms in the new section but wasn’t allowed to changeas the rooms were full but someone after me who had checked in was allowed to change. How bizarre I couldn’t and they could let alone the manageress saying ill give you a refund and book somewhere else as I wasn’t happy with the rooms. This was because the rooms were appalling and not ones I requested. At the time of booking fair enough one of the rooms I selected was wrong but rang and asked to be changed along with rooms in newly refurbished rooms but this didn’t happen. 2nights stay. What started off with a banana mattress(curved) to 2 rooms with broken beds in each room. Told the maintenance man and reception staff about the 2nd room and hotel said I never told them basically saying I am either lying or making it up, luckily I had pictures before and after. Bed base was changed after I had checked in where the mattress over-hanged the base where guest relations stated we only have double bases and mattresses yet again I am wrong but pictures show the mattress was incorrect which I found out after I returned back at 1am and should have reported it to staff at the time. Hotel manager/staff told guest relations this wasn’t brought up to them at 1am when I just wanna relax and sleep as I have a busy day ahead but they thought it was ok to leave it where the bed base and mattress don’t match at all. At No point did they tell me or any of my family that the base and mattress don’t match which they say is ok to sleep on. Didn’t sleep much that night due to mattress not right and couldn’t get comfy let alone rooms either side you could hear guests talking and moving around. In the end ended up sleeping on a un mug single bed about 2 hours later. When the base was changed and new base smaller it showed how dirty and filthy the room was with rubbish and dust on carpet. Cracks in wall from ceiling to floor. Extract fans do not work causing steam and smells in the room. The 2nd room the maintenance man decided to put screws in to fix the issue where screw points would be upright and my children were concerned about sleeping on it. Bed linen left in room made me wonder have the actually renewed the bed linen. Stained side wall on bed bases raising hygiene and health issues. Bathroom door didn’t shut easily and caused me to open with force bearing that this room has been passed to use for guest. There was a spider in the room which I didn’t bring to anyone’s attention otherwise you would have had a few members complaining as I was there with friends and family so I thought best not to say anything best for the hotel by the way these rooms were cleaned and checked by staff. The water pressure is awful in the basin just about same in shower. I had a function to attend and was late due to the issues with the rooms and suggest I should have resolved before going to my function, I had already spoken to guest relations

I would just like to say that emma went above and beyond for us while staying at your hotel nothing was to much trouble. Ellie and maddi also went above and beyond while serving us in your restaurant very friendly and enthusiastic young ladys All three are a credit to your team and deserve some sort of reward for this excellent customer service

Great service from Ellie and maddi. Very helpful, very happy and a great credit to the company. The food was OK, not the best. My window was hanging out of the wall, very noisy. The girls were great and they worked hard and always had a smile on thier face

Beds comfortable and rooms clean. Staff where very friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel and some parts of the building reflect this but over all excellent value. We had dinner in the restaurant and rhe food was tasty and serving was quick. Would stay again.

Staff were always very helpful and ready to assist me if needed as a disabled person and the meal package was good although not particularly cheap. However, the hotel looks like little work has been done on renovation or maintenance since the seventies. The decor of the rooms is tired and dated and the hotel has a nerve charging what nowadays appears to be the standard £100 a night for these substandard rooms. They should plough some of this money back into hotel improvements rather than profits.

Staff really good, which was the redeeming feature of this visit. The hotel is old, dated, feels unclean. Particularly enjoyed the rolled up barbed wire on the roof above the fire escape, I'm still wondering if this was to stop people climbing on to the roof or jumping off? The hotel did the job, ie I ate food and slept, but if you compared the Premier Inn TV advert to this Premier Inn at Fosse Park then the two are a fair distance apart. As mentioned though the staff were truly great, which is the bit I wasn't expecting. If staying for business as a "worker" (as I was) then its ok but if staying with family or city break, days away etc then there are nicer places to be. I'd be staggered if Premier Inn management disagreed, the hotel needs a refurb asap. (but keep the staff!)

Good value of money. The place was easy to find, parking on site available. The room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff. There is an option to check in early and you can check out by 12pm which was very helpful for me. Will definitely visit again. The only problem was the internet as i couldn’t really use my data due to poor signal and the wi-fi wasn’t very efficient.
