Mountain Hostel Gimmelwald

Amazing hostel in a fairy tale like town. Great little restaurant and atmosphere. Helpful staff. Best scenery ever. Clean, fun and all around amazing place. Am in Europe for a month and this was the absolute highlight.

Just one word....Perfect ! The staff awesome, super pizza (you can create your own recipe !), we had also live music, nice view, clean and comfortable ! Ci siamo trovati Benissimo al meraviglioso Mountain Hostel, abbiamo avuto il piacere di godere della musica dal vivo, del panorama mozzafiato, dell'accoglienza impeccabile dello staff e della proprietaria ! Buona anche la pizza da comporre con gli ingredienti che vengono scelti dal menu ! Torneremo sicuramente !

Magical setting above the Lauterbrunnen Valley! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the sunrise/sunsets together… Worth a visit for some pizza wether you’re staying overnight or passing through. The staff is on standby for much needed beers after the Via Ferrata trip!!! 😳😳😳 Will be back I’m sure! 🙏🏻

We only stopped in for a drink while hiking but the views, service, cleanliness, welcome & vibe were excellent! Has a young feel but we oldies received a warm friendly welcome! Can recommend the hot chocolate (delicious), coffee (good n tasty), and chocolate muffins yummy!

In 1990's this was a great place, but now just a loud noisy bar that carries way past 10pm normal quiet hours in Switzerland. More like Florida Spring break party than reflection of peaceful scenic Gimmelwald.

One of the best and most cozy hostels I've stayed, the staff is super nice, kind and always willing to help. If you prefer cooking, the guest kitchen is fully equipped so there's no need to bring anything but your food!:D Breakfast is delicious, mountain views are magnificent, and their homemade pizza and brownies...Whoa! I'm definitely coming back!

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The view from rooms and terass is absolutely breathtaking .The atmosphere in the hostel was what you can expect , relaxed and very friendly. If you are looking for good place for hiking and real alp feeling , this is the place👍👍 Thank you for great experience! Br Anders/Finland

This is one of the BEST hostel I ever stayed! 😊 The onwer put sooo much love in this hostel, very nice socially,very beautiful mountain views, many nice people and nice food. I will come back again for sure😃

Where to even begin! This place is absolutely stunning! I love ever single thing about this place! From the people that work there to the free breakfast. Don't even get me started on the live music and the facilities! Totally amazing!! I recommend this place to my friends and family any day! I even heard they got awesome new renovations! The place is a great time to have social interactions with solo travelers and at the same time have a peaceful night. Thank you so much Mountain Hostel! I hope to return!
