바스 로잔(Base Lausanne)

This is still a worksite, builders in the building at any time of the day. Painting in your room & outside at 8:30 in the morning. Not professional at all, on the site it was written that the refurbishment will finish by the end of July, instead are still open.

I had booked Base Vevey prior to booking Base Lausanne so I made the mistake of thinking all their services were alike. So one thing that isn't similar is that Base Lausanne does NOT have any air conditioning, and I think it's because it's in an old refurbished building. No problem for us as we went in September when the nights were quite cool, but it may be an issue in the summer. Although they provided a strong electric fan in the unit. Pluses: 1). Location is great, can't complain. A lot of nice bakeries, coffee shops, ice cream shops in the area, close to the train station, close to Parc de Milan which my children enjoyed. It's in a quieter residential area, so it's less touristy and noisy. Since Lausanne hotels provide a free travel pass everything is just 2-3 tram rides / subway rides away or you can just walk for 15-20minutes to get to the sights. 2). The kitchen is very well stocked with all the equipment you may need. Cooking hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, kettle, etc 3). There's a free to use washer and dryer downstairs - very clean - with free detergent to use, and baskets to hold your laundry. Minuses: 1) Not really a minus but just be aware that there's no air conditioning so it may be uncomfortable in the summer. 2) The bathroom is VERY VERY small and has weird steps. So it's really tight plus I tripped a few times going in and out.

Everything was perfect. The place was very cosy and the location was ver close to the train station The receptionist Ergis helped us to get comfortable, made us feel at home and was always ready to recommend places to eat/drink near the hotel.

Excellent studio in Lausanne . So well situated , minutes from the station , the centre of the old town and about a 10 min walk to the lake. Cedric welcomed us and could now have been more helpful . Friendly and professional The studio was immaculate , well appointed , comfortable and even with a lake view! Definitely would stay again -- Cedric clearly takes great care of his guests . Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in Base Lausanne. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well stocked with cutlery and cooking essentials. Location wise it's a short walk from the Railway station and is a great base to tour from using the (excellent) Railways. We would definitely stay there again, or in any of the Base apartments.

The staff was very helpful and did everything to make us feel like home. The hotel was clean and tidy,we loved our room and definitely we will be back again. Location is fantastic just 3 min from the train station. Recommend it to everyone who wants to have a unforgettable staying in Lausanne.👌

We (me, my husband, and our 21 year old daughter) stayed at Base Lausanne for 3 nights in early July, left a lot of our luggage at the Base for a week for a one-week hike in the Swiss Alps, and returned to the Base for 2-nights. Base Lausanne is by far our favorite city-stay apartment. I'm so glad that our original airbnb reservation was canceled by the host so we found Base Lausanne instead. We had a one-bedroom with a sleeper sofa in the living room. While the Base does not provide some of the amenities a regular hotel might have (eg no a/c, so it can get a bit warm on hot days for Americans accustomed to a/c in the summer), it suited our purposes beautifully. It has a wonderfully efficient kitchen (modern and top of the line appliances). There are also excellent washer and dryer in the lower floor along with free detergent. This was super convenient as we could wash our dirty clothes after our hiking trip before our long journey home. I like most the abundance of cabinet and closet storage spaces in the apartment to put away our belongings, so the room looked orderly throughout the day. The staff, Cedric in particular, are so welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. We left our luggage in the room before we left, and our luggage was waiting for us in the room a week later upon our return. The location is super convenient. We love the food shops in the immediate neighborhood: Bread Store (award winning boulangerie/patisserie 5 minute walk away), Loom (gelateria next door to the hotel), Coop (relatively large supermarket, 4 minute walk), Planet Bowl (healthy and good value poke bowl, directly opposite). Thank you the Base Lausanne team for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. We can't wait to go back to Base Lausanne again!

L’hôtel parfait que vous soyez seul, en couple ou en famille. L’emplacement est idéal à 2 minutes de la gare! Nous avons séjourné 4 nuits à Base Lausanne, rien à dire sur le nettoyage. Vous pouvez profiter de votre propre cuisine tout équipée, la literie est tout simplement incroyable. L’établissement a été refait à neuf, il possède même une salle de fitness, une salle de jeux et une buanderie. Merci à toutes les équipes pour l’accueil, nous pouvons que recommander. Nous reviendrons!

Studio idéalement situé à 2 pas de la gare et du métro, idéal quand on vient d’ailleurs et pour se déplacer dans lausanne. Proche des commerces, restaurants … Studio au 4e et dernier étage, sous les toits, avec une fenêtre de toit. Chaleur à la limite du supportable durant la journée. Heureusement nous avions un ventilateur à disposition. Studio très propre, très bien aménagé, très bonne literie, très bien équipé. Parfait pour des vacances sur Lausanne. On le recommande.
