"In the photos the structure looks different. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. However, we must say things as they are. A general refresh is needed. The shower was disgusting to enter. The door didn't close so instead of changing rooms we had to leave the room open. If there were a more feminine touch perhaps it would be different"

"I had a reservation for two days. I was driving from Santo Domingo. It's a 4 hour drive. That gave me a 2 hour window to get there before check in ended (which was in the terms, but I didn't know). I let the proprietor know we were on the side of the road and were awaiting assistance. I'd be late, but I didn't know how late. Her response was, "Oh, what to do?" NEVER did she say, "I'm going to have to cancel your reservation so you should look for another place to stay." So, I get there at 9:00. Keep in mind, I am a foreigner in a strange place at night and I don't know where I"m going. The desk clerk tells me I'm at the wrong address. So, I wander around for the next 2 1/2 hours looking for the place and e-mailing the proprietor who has not responded to anything since I told her we were stranded on the side of the road. I tried looking up the address using the PIN number and it wouldn't work. That's when I thought, "Is the reservation cancelled?" Keep in mind, it was for 2 days... After spending the night in my car in on a back road, I get a request to verify that I didn't. check in and was notified of the cancellation. I clearly didn't know that I was violating the check in time and at no time was any information or help offered in that regard. I think this is the WORST customer service and I would NEVER stay here or recommend it to anyone. Had I been told at 4, when I told her about the car delay, I would have had plenty of time to make other arrangements. Had she told me at 9:00, that still would have been plenty of time. Figuring it at out 11:00 p.m. after traveling since 2:00 a.m. left me exhausted and without options."

"We highly recommend staying here in one of their cozy casitas. Michelle and Gerard the hosts we’re helpful in navigating Las Galeras with where to go, eat, beach etc…Loved it was centrally located to walk into town for cafe and croissants, lunch or just to pick up water. Playita beach was a little stroll around the corner and was a daily event for us."

"You could tell this place "was" a good hotel but not anymore. Upon checking in the front door knob didn't work, the shower head broke, the window screen with holes, TV didn't work. Also by the way a hotel in the Caribbean with no A/C. I went to tell the front desk and the lady said well I checked everything earlier. Everything was a mess, stay away from this place."
