오니실로스 호텔(Onisillos Hotel)

Warm water was only available between 9am and 9pm, it wasn't hot water at all.. the heater din't work. Hotel looks like 80's and in general it was not only damaged but as well dirty. Location in fact was good, only 5 min to old town, to the sea and promenade.

Had a wonderful week staying at onisillos. When we travel we like to stay off the beaten track a bit. Embrace ourselves in the culture of where we are. Is the hotel outdated compared to the surrounding ones? Yes. Did that add to the character and the charm of where we were and how welcoming we felt by the boss himself? Absolutely. I would happily stay here again, to have the people that let you stay in their hotel want to know all about you and what you got up to that day made our stay all the more wonderful. Thank you for having us for the week. I apologise for leaving so early in the morning and I do hope you got our little note from room 220

Friendly and cooperative reception; outside the tourist area but very easy access on foot. Simple but comfortable room; easy on-street parking.

The owner was really nice and helpful. Could be a little cleaner but worth it if you’re not planning to spend a lot of time in the room. It’s a 7mins walk to Larnaca centre.

Never felt the need to complain about a hotel stay up until now. We stayed with Onisillos Hotel from March 9th to the 11th and it was well and truly the worst experience ive ever had staying at a hotel. The windowsill in bathroom was vile, rotten and falling apart. Loose tiles in all parts of the room on floor and walls. We had to request to have the hot water turned on in our room for a shower and then the manager pressured us into having a shower quickly so he could turn it back off again. He kept complaining that every time the expensive part from the boiler breaks when people shower, he needs to order the part from Italy and will bill the customers for this. On the Friday morning we showered and then left our room for breakfast and to go and have a swim in the beach, when we came back to our room, we asked for the hot water to be turned back on so we could wash and get changed for the evening. The manager at first denied us having a second shower until I said we'd been in the sea and I need a shower to wash off the sand and salt... I was disgusted by him even denying us a shower when we were paying guests. The shower itself was broken and not fixed to the wall, had low pressure and the water was lukewarm at best even when boiler was supposedly turned on. Our TV had a Greek plug with a UK plug socket on the wall so we were unable to use the television. When we addressed this with the manager, he asked if we could speak Greek as this is the only language on local TV so don't worry about the TV if we cannot. Room was filthy under the beds/tables and we found mess under every bed including a water bottle in the bottom of the sofa bed with an expiry date from 2 years ago! Had to hand in our key when we went out in the evening which I've never had to do at any hotel I've ever stayed at. Hotel was generally old and dilapidated. All in all would avoid staying here. Awful.

Very good stay, hôtel close to airport and to airport bus as well as to restaurants, good for one or two nights stay;

Onisillos Hotel is very conveniently situated on the bus route for bus 425 to and from the Larnaca Airport. It is also a very short and convenient walk from the hotel to the beach and downtown Larnaca to include Palm Avenue. This is a basic budget hotel which is clean, comfortable, well managed, and a good value for money. Christo is very helpful and dedicated to making sure his guests enjoy their stay in Larnaca. One thing which would make it even better is if the wifi was in the rooms; currently it is only available in the lobby. If/when I return to Cyprus, I would definitely stay here again!

Practical for Larnaca airport 10 min away. Basic but clean. On the downside dated furnitures and no wifi in room. If you just need a night or two it's ok. 20 min walk to the city.

We needed a place close to the airport at the very end of our vacation and we got it. It was cheap so i didn’t have high expectations, however, there are no excuses for dirt in the bathroom! It is not acceptable nowadays. I regret we booked this place.
