Amazing experience, superb location and perfect service by the hotel staff. A hidden gem, beautiful designed hotel and spa with pool, wellness and a variety of treatments and massages in the Shiseido Institute. The perfect getaway for relaxation and the ultimate culinary experience.

Good location . Excellent breakfast. Big room cleaned daily to a high standard . Pure luxury.

We chose La Butte Aux Bois to celebrate on of life’s big moments in stylish, yet cozy settings. What a splendid idea! The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and compassionate. At breakfast the waiter was told about my wife’s birthday and arrived singing ‘happy birthday’ at our table with a sparkler and the oysters (!) we ordered. A very delicious cake was brought to our room later on as a present from the hotel. And in the evening, in the bistro, another waiter brought a new sparkler singing ‘happy birthday’ - and both my wife and I had a glass of excellent dessert wine on the house (thank you so much, friends!). Rooms are huuuge and very well equipped. A fancy Nespresso machine with fresh capsules, a fridge with complimentary sparkling water, Coke and beer. Complimentary fruit and mineral water. Complimentary chocolate every evening. Comfy beds. A bathroom only slightly smaller than a normal hotel room. The spa includes swimming pool with deck chairs at the sides, ordinary sauna, infrared sauna, ice for rubbing your skin and buckets full of ice cold water. Breakfast includes everything that you can possibly dream of - including bobbles and a menu from which you can order your eggs in several ways. Ever tried eggs Benedict? As the name indicates, La Butte Aux Bois Is situated by a forest. Here you’ll find two perfect walking / running routes (approximately 5 and 11 km) - the latter takes you into the nearby national park. Does someone you know deserve to be spoiled completely? La Butte Aux Bois Is THE place to do it.

We enjoyed our spa day here; a warm welcome was given and was followed by a nice breakfast buffet (with bubbels, pancakes, eggs,...) We had a threatment in the morning and a massage the afternoon, we could enjoy the spa facilities all day and had a delicious lunch!

Wonderful hotel in the middle of nature, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food out of this world and the spa superb. I can highly recommend. I attended on a business trip but kept thinking how my husband would have loved this as a couple of nights away. Next time!

First visit to la butte aux bois. it was a great experience. the spa area is good but not that big and might be crowded (I recommend the institute to enjoy a massage followed by more quiet moment). the accommodations are very nice and modern, the service is good and the food was amazing especially the buffet breakfast… It is , I believe, the best I have ever had.

The hotel is superb, high class boutique-style property with two restaurants and two bars. Class everywhere. Beds a a little soft but big, decor and atmosphere are exquisite. The service is remarquable and patient with every demand. Only one note, if you are disabled or with mobility issues, there are short time parking spaces in front of the entrance but you can’t drive to the door itself because there are big concrete balls on the front and 15m to walk to the lobby. Also the swimming pool does not have stairs to go down to, only a regular ladder which is not easy for people with mobility issues. Also in some of the room bathrooms, the very badly located between a wall and a radiator, impossible to sit straight so do ask for their one handicapped équipes room. The property is surrounded by forest and the 2* restaurant is amazing. Breakfast possible in the room, also of very high level. Top !

For the second time, we had a wonderfull, all-in stay. Dinner was very good, the suggested wines were fantastic and service was perfect. The room was big, very clean and was cleaned and restocked. We will definitely come again.

What an amazing hotel. Thanks to the wonderful and kind staff we were greeted with a room upgrade. Very beautiful, clean rooms. Amazing bar and excellent restaurant. The sommelier went the extra mile with his wine pairing as well. Of course you cannot review La Butte Aux Bois without talking about their Spa & Welness. We were beyond relaxed and will be returning very soon.
