베이스캠프 사우스 레이크 타호(Basecamp Tahoe South)

Chose this hotel for the location and the fact it looked great from the photos. However : There was a bad smell in the room which we couldn’t identify. TV was missing cables, coffee machine had no coffee, sink would not drain and hairdryer was faulty - the phone in the room can only accept calls and you can’t call out so we had to go to reception in minus temperatures to log the issues. In hindsight I would have spent a bit more and chosen another hotel, wouldn’t recommend this as an option if you’re in the area.

就是一個motel翻新了一下，裝修很新潮。房間很暖和，有冷暖空調和嵌入牆的燃氣式暖氣，暖氣啟動時還是有聲音，但比那種窗下的暖氣安靜多了。位置還不錯，在南太浩湖市鬧市區，去滑雪的話能步行到heavenly纜車入口。房間挺乾淨，浴室挺不錯的，床中等偏軟不過挺舒服的。缺點是晚上睡下以後噪音挺多，走廊重的腳步聲，別的房間敲門聲等等。房間沒微波爐，使用餐廳微波爐要收費。motel裏算很不錯的，但預算充足的話還是儘量住更好的地方吧。

This is my first time staying here at Base Camp south Tahoe and my partner's 2nd time. The room is nothing to write home about but it serves the purpose for 2 day ski trip. However, one night we return to our room late night after a concert. The key card was not working for us to enter our room and no one around to help with this. We tried calling the phone number that was posted on their door and unfortunately it said their mail was full and we could not leave a message. We tried texting them but we weren't getting back a response in a timely manner in the meantime it is so cold outside we had to end up paying for a room at a different Hotel so we could at least have a warm place to sleep. Needless to say we are not very happy of how this was handled. At the very least the manager /owner should make this right for us as we are the customers and we did not get to sleep in the room that we had already paid for. We are not going to ignore this we will contact the hotel owner.

Very clean rooms and friendly staff. We will definitely choose Basecamp hotel for our future stays.

Family room was economical for three skiers in our fifties. Sharing one bathroom was a sacrifice. Don't bump your head on the upper bunk in the family room. Jacuzzi was great, we used it three times during our two night stay. The band at the brewery was fantastic. Beds were comfortable.

Wonderful hotel. Would stay again. Only complaint is that they need a sign for their lobby to make it noticeable, we walked around searching for it in a blizzard. But that would stop me from rebooking now that I know where it's all.

Great facilities - hot tub / brewery / live music Needs a clean - carpets could do with a steam clean Recycle bins around the facilities would be great

This was a nice elevated/refurbished motel. Was not 4 or 5 star stay. For the price it was okay. The brewery was a big plus and so was the cute breakfast.

While the metal bunk beds provide a space-saving solution, the exposed iron rods posed a safety concern, leading to frequent bumps and bruises. Limited sitting space near the bunks also made it difficult to move around comfortably without hitting my head. The heater's sudden temperature spikes were not only uncomfortable but also raised concerns about potential safety hazards. It's important for these issues to be addressed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for future guests.
