보르고 피냐노(Borgo Pignano)

AVOID AT ALL COST!! Definitely not worth the money and time! We have stayed at much better properties and facilities which are way better than this for a lower cost! Property needs a lot of work! Air con not working properly, shower is blocked and hot water not working properly! Food choice is limited, not great compared with other places we stayed during this Tuscany trip. Staff are generally nice which is the only thing I can say.

Exceeded our expectations. Everything was beautiful, especially the picturesque views. Service was excellent. Lots of available activities-- would recommend the walking trails and the Borgo Tour with Gigi! Easy drive to Volterra and San Gimignano for day trips. We will certainly be back.

A truly wonderful experience at Borgo Pignano. Gigi is the most wonderful and gracious host. The accommodations were lovely. Food was great and service was top notch. There were so many fun activities for kids. Wish we could go back right now!

We had a wonderful week at the estate. Nothing was too hard for the staff. They were very helpful. The facilities were first class. The villa was brand new and everything worked well. Gigi was fantastic as the relationship manager. He was incredibly accommodating and created a memorable experience for us all.

Borgo Pignano far exceeded our expectations! An amazing resort with beautiful architecture and stunning property that made us feel like we were in heaven! The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean. The service was top notch and most of all we loved Gigi! He was there for our every need and made us feel special during our stay. I look forward to returning soon! We had a warm wellcome at arrival. The hotel is a beautiful Italian hamlet which has been renovated with respect for its authenticity. Thanks to the central position, Borgo Pignano is an excellent basis for a tour through Tuscany with visits to most of its famous cities S. Giminignano, Colle di val d’Elsa, Volterra, Siena, Pisa, Firenze. Coming back “home” after a daytrip, you can enjoy good food in the “green” restaurant with delicious home made products in a traditional Italian environment. This is how we have experienced our family Easter tour in Borgo Pignano. A family from Belgium.

My daughter and I arrived on the first day of opening for the 2024 season and immediately fell in love with this beautiful residence and estate. We had booked the maisonette named La Piccionaia, the old Pidgeon House. There were amazing views from three sides of the property and the mini roof terrace. Every comfort had been thought through for our enjoyment. The bathing products produced on the estate were wonderful - it is just a pity no small bottles seemed available to buy to return to the UK , bearing in mind the 100ml allowances on the aircraft, or maybe we just just did not find them. The wonderful Gigi showed us around the estate explaining the eco credentials and showing us the new gym, spa and Herb lab. Between walking and horse riding we covered most of the way-marked trails. Those covering the high ground were for us the icing on the cake as the views were glorious, especially in the early mornings. The staff in every department were exceedingly helpful and went out of their way to explain any queries we gave them. We also liked the fact that there were plentiful supplies of free water, tea and coffee. We cannot fault the food in the Medieval room or Villa Pignano, and the restaurant staff in each were very attentive and knowledgeable. I have to mention Gigi again, because he made us feel as if we were the only ones staying there, his attention to detail, his love of the property shone through, and he was the perfect Italian Gentleman in every way. The most relaxing stay ever.

The ultimate Tuscan experience! Stunning setting, extraordinary views, incredibly comfortable room with an enormous bathroom and delicious food, all produced on the Borgo Pignano estate. It is close to San Gimignano and Volterra, and yet there is no need to go anywhere with painting classes and riding to name just a couple of activities. A really relaxing stay and wish we could have been there longer…

If there were 6 stars, Borgo Pignano would get them all. We were incredibly blessed to be invited to share in a loved ones wedding and if you get the chance, there is honestly no better venue. However, let me focus on the hotel. The word ‘magical’ does not do the setting or the hotel justice. Stunning views, incredible rooms, absolutely superb food unbelievable history, effortless style. However. One thing alone sets Borgo Pignano apart. The staff, actually the family, because that is what they are. Not one of them was false, not one of them begrudged any request or question. It is plainly obvious, they live their work, they love the hotel and they adore guests. I actually flicked through the previous reviews and was amazed that there was anything below 5……maybe I am easily pleased and if so, I am happy with that! A very special to the guest manager who gave us a personal guided tour of the secret and magic hotel and was absolutely superb…. You know who you are and we loved your red jacket! So so blessed and I will make sure I get back one day. Thank you all.
