Hotel Punta Lara Noirmoutier

It was a very nice stay at your hotel. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The restaurant and food were very good. The hotel grounds were very well-maintained. We thank you for this wonderful stay and hope to return soon.

What a wonderful setting! Off the beaten track, the hotel was welcoming, relaxed and beautifully equipped. The reception area was light, spacious and airy, with attentive service (we were walked to our room), and views of the dining room and heated outdoor pool giving the promise of a memorable stay. After beer and cocktails overlooking the waves, we settled into our comfortable room with large bed, separate bathroom and WC, plentiful hanging space and ceiling fan. Later, we ate at the restaurant and, while the portions were slightly small, we had eaten our fill of delicious plates of mackerel, tuna, pork, octopus risotto, cheese and a Vendée tart. There was a varied wine list, and vegetarian options. Falling asleep to the sound of waves outside our balcony was a delight, before a leisurely all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast (hot and cold items, pastries, fruit, dairy and cereal choices and a variety of teas and coffee). Finally, a swim in the pool before we packed and left. We will return!

The hotel is really lovely and the location is fantastic. The hotel could be absolutely amazing with a few small changes. They need more people working on the front reception desk, as you could end up waiting for about half an hour for something as simple as pool towels. The pillows were really big and at peak season they could do with a few more sun loungers. Having said that, the staff were lovely and the facilities were really good, so overall we had a great holiday.

After a hic up with the first room we were swiftly moved to a room with a working fan ! Staff lovely and EVA and MARGAUX were exceptional. Food in restaurant was so nice and well worth the money would highly recommend . Clean and amazing all through

All of the team were fantastic, friendly and welcoming - special mention to Sebastian in the bar/restaurant who was great fun and couldn't do enough for us. Setting is lovely and we loved our balcony beach view room. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for three nights and were told it was the “end of season” and so there was very little staff on hand. This was clear when we attempted to order four cocktails (three of which are on the bar menu) to be told they couldn’t make them and/or didn’t have the ingredients. We ordered a beer by the pool on our one sunny day, to be served a small beer when we’d paid for a large beer. The waiter was going to bring another small beer, but never returned. The rooms are really small, and I don’t know why they’d ever have been built that small when there is plenty of space?! They are rundown and in need of rejuvenation. The bed pillows are square, which is uncomfortable to sleep on, and we had ONE bath robe for a room with two occupants. The towels are small and thin. The room was cleaned regularly but as several other reviews have noted, the safe did not work. The beach at the front of the hotel is lovely to look at from the balcony but is unusable as an actual beach. The pool looked lovely, and clean, but it was too cold to use it. I wouldn’t return.
