After a tumultuous drive from La Fortuna to San Ramon, Casa Amanecer was just what we needed. When we got there, we were greeted by Melina [spelling?] and her sister- I believe they help run this place. Both were wonderful and very helpful. I spoke a little Spanish, so it helped when communicating with them. The room we had was very cozy and while there is no AC in the room, you don't need it at all. The cool air from the outside keeps the room nice and good. The bathroom was very clean. We actually shared our dinner with Melina and her sister. They asked when we would want breakfast the next day. The meal they both made was nothing short of amazing. Home-cooked, authentic Costa Rican breakfast. They even made pineapple juice for my girls. The hospitality afforded to us was amazing. The scenic views from the porch/dining area are breath-taking. They even have a plant that the hummingbirds fly around- great for picture taking. We will be back to Costa Rica and we will stay with Casa Amaenecer again.

We loved at stay at Casa Amanecer! It's a beautiful hotel in a beautiful spot outside of San Ramon. We were greeted with a warm welcome and were made to feel at home with some hot tea on the patio. The breakfasts were SO delicious and eating on the patio and enjoying the view was a delight. The room was very clean and comfortable and it's a great value, too. Don't miss a visit to downtown San Ramon. There's a wonderful regional museum and lots of shops and restaurants. I can't recommend Casa Amanecer too highly!

Unfortunately the shortest stay of my Costa Rica trip but I wish I had more time. Despite being the ultimate troublemaker guest, they treated me with the greatest hospitality. I left the beach a little late and then got in the worst traffic so I arrived 2 hours after the check in time ended but was still accommodated with much kindness. And then in the morning, I had to leave very early to make it to a tour in La Fortuna but I was able to still eat breakfast hours before I left even though it was well before their breakfast hours. The rooms are beautiful and very clean/put together and the patio has an amazing view of San Ramon and the surrounding area. The breakfast was delicious!! Definitely will stay next time I pass through the area and would recommend to anybody!

We were delightfully surprised to find this small, hidden B&B in San Ramon where we stayed for 3 nights while exploring the Central Valley and visiting friends in the area. The rooms are very clean, beds comfortable, and the views of the valley are spectacular. It was so relaxing to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee while birdwatching in the garden and watching the sun rise. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and something we looked forward to every day. The care that Elena and her sister Celian take in every detail is obvious. They were so warm and friendly and treated us like old friends. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in San Ramon.
