We stayed at the Parador because it was a Parador and because we hadn’t visited the town previously. Parking was difficult as all the places were taken, so we parked illegally for a short while until some places opened up. I had thought there were dedicated spaces for Parador guests, but that thought was incorrect. At least it was free. It was a couple minutes walk from the parking lot to the hotel entrance. Check in was easy. The room had a more modern feel and the halls a business hotel feel. It lacked the charm of other, older, Paradors. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was fine. I had a veal dish and it doesn’t seem to matter how you ask for it to be cooked, it comes out rare to raw. I sent it back and it was much better the second time. My wife had the cochinillo and she said it was very good. The breakfast buffet was standard Parador, but because of the Parador’s size and number of guests some items you’d normally have to ask for were put out on the buffet, e.g., fried eggs, churros, bacon.
