파라도르 데 엘 살레르(Parador de El Saler)

Hotel mediocre. Precio elevado para el servicio que ofrecen.

We went for lunch at the main dining-room of the Parador. A super experience! Vast dining-room with a view. We shared a fish in a a salt crust, cooked to perfection and cleaned and served at the table. A perfect show executed by a professional waitress. The whole meal was up to Parador-level of expectation: superlative! Service was attentive, professional and smiling! One of best memories in Valencia. It could be reached by city transport. The pPrador boasts one of the best golf-courses in Spain.

Well maintained grounds. Beach a short walk away. Very quiet. The pool area was a bit dated and wish they had more areas to do work; while my husband golfed, I ended up staying in the room to work as that was the most comfortable space. I would've preferred to work outside the room but the seating wasn't the best and there weren't a lot of outlets. The hotel did not seem updated for this remote work era we find ourselves. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable. Delicious paella (though you have to order for two, which was a bummer). Wish there were more vegan options for my husband. The staff was friendly and helpful, from check in to dining. We especially enjoyed our servers Rosario and her daughter Luciana, who were delightful to chat with. Appreciated the size of the room, with a seating area, good storage, big shower, and a balcony. The bed was uncomfortable though, from the pillows to the mattress; expect higher quality at a hotel like this. Very clean. We were told a cab would take about 25 minutes to arrive; we waited for an hour. Luckily we weren't trying to catch a train or plane! I don't fault the hotel for the wait but it was stressful and not very fun. If you're trying to get back to Valencia, pad in some extra time. The cigarette vending machine made me laugh (not in a good way). Wasn't a fan of smoking being allowed but that was all over Spain, not just here. I don't think I'd want to stay for more than a few days (compared to Hotel Camiral, another golf resort we stayed at just before here, where I could've stayed forever). Overall, a good experience for a short stay.

A lovely escape from busy Valencia nearby. The room, balcony and view were excellent. 2 minute walk to the beach, and beautiful sunset views. Beautiful beach with miles of walking options, super conservation program, and lots of greenery.

Comfortable, good looking, and clean rooms did not compensate for the deficient customer service. Also, make sure that the lock of the door leading to the balcony work properly; as a solo traveler my safety and security are a priority, especially in isolated locations as this hotel. The building itself is dated and a bit depressing, however it wouldn’t take too much to improve it. I might consider to give it a second chance just to try the beach and spa services.

After a long drive this is one of the best paradores to unwind and disconnect. The room is spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. The cuisine is superb. This is a beautiful location and very interesting considering the environment and information provided on protecting the wildlife,preserving the ecosystem and protecting the environment.

Worse Customer service I have experienced in years. You should expect a 45 minute wait to get a drink. They have real management problems. Pésima Atencion al cliente. Tom**** algo en la terraza se convierte en un acto de paciencia y frustración.

Golf: Juwel of a classic golf course, great practice facilities, proshop/tee time management top and flexible, everybody speaks english, welcoming, friendly and effective. Hotel: the opposite. Service almost not existing, as almost nobody speaks any language except spanish, as they neither learn it in school nor for a career in tourism industry. Kind of ridiculous smoking regulations. Bonus promises for Friends of Paradores just a hoax.

This is not a good place to stay if you treasure your possessions. We had several items which went missing from our room. One was a fairly expensive tee shirt, and the other thing that went missing was my wife’s silver necklace. When we confronted the hotel management about this, all we received were shrugged shoulders and blank looks. Perhaps they’re all in on it. I think it’s called shrinkage in the trade. Five star they told me. More like a thieves kitchen.
