Very nicely made with excellent view of the mountains from all angles ... Rooms are huge and very comfortable. The food was very nice. Staff was very nice. I would love to visit again. Caution .. it's not senior citizens friendly ...lots of ups n downs. And the road to this place from udaipur was all under construction so the journey was a bit rough

Fancy place, large grounds, monkeys in the trees, peacocks, pretty flowers. Fantastic views. Large private decks. Nice big rooms, comfortable beds, extremely attentive staff. We were the only ones there! Dinner (included) was atrocious, really bad, but probably our error. We were told we could order off the menu or let the chef decide a set menu so we went with that assuming he'd pick the best ingredients he had and that it would be Indian. Oops. A bizarre attempt at American food that was laughably inedible. The picture is of the "salad": apples, mayonnaise, nuts and maraschino cherries. Oh boy. Breakfast was great - the French toast was amazing! Very convenient place to stay to visit Kumbulgargh Fort.

We stayed in this lovely nature resort for 2 nights in Superior Valley View cottage.The rooms are spacious and made of stone with wonderful views of Kumbhalgarh valley. Waking up to the spectacular sunrise in the wooded hills, enjoying the cultural dance program with live bonfire in the chilly evenings arranged by the hotel, the helpful and empathetic staffs specially Jhalom Singh , Bhanwar Singh and personalised service by Lokesh ji at the restaurant made our stay one of the best in recent years. If you wish to enjoy the solitude and the unspoiled beauty of nature, you must visit this place!

With a couple of caveats I can recommend the Wild Retreat as a pleasant but not overly luxurious place to stay. Room: we had a cottage with a splendid view of the valley. The room was spacious and reasonably attractive. There were ample electrical outlets, but the one next to my bed didn't work. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Unfortunately, Wifi was spotty at best. Location: great location for visiting the fort. Situated high on a hilltop, the view was great.  Staff: very gracious and friendly. We came on a festival day and were the only guests in the entire place! The staff very kindly invited us to their informal festival celebration, which was a highlight of our stay. Food: breakfast was fine; fruit, cereal, juice, eggs, etc. Dinner (included) was awful. We made the mistake of agreeing to "chef's choice", which ended up being a brave but misguided foray into psuedo-Western cuisine. I imagine the Indian dishes would have been better, and I regret not having ordered one.

Very nice remote location with great views. Rooms are large with nice terraces and are very clean! Staff was very supportive and friendly, with good food. Only remark is that the decoration of the dining hall could be a little cosier. But all in all we had a great time.

Great staff. Nice views. Excellent food. Big rooms. Clean. Good location. Local dancers performed the first evening. We were 2 families of each 2 adults and 3 children and had a great time. Would recommend to other families

It is a small boutique hotel. Very good experience right from the rooms,service, food,the landscape,weather all top class. I would recommend room with valley view were spacious with a huge balcony. Worth a stay for a short city break, would surely recommend.

The property is situated on a hill top and has amazing views of the valley, infinity pool if your opting for a room with a pool nothing like it. Overall experience of the property has been really amazing the staff is very friendly and polite. Food is good just need to keep in mind the kitchen timings. I will suggest you to take the whole package that includes breakfast and dinner. Do book directly and speak to Ajay & you will get a good deal. If it's a special occasion they will go over and above to make sure that you celebrate the occasion with you love ones. It's truly an experience you will see a lot of peacocks a lot of parrots wildlife nearby. Kumbhalgarh fort is just 3-4 minutes away from this property by car.

We had a wonderful time at TWR. It is superbly located and beautifully maintained. The gardens are especially lovely...there were new plants to discover everyday and Himatsingh, the Gardner took great pride in showing us around. The rooms had a superb view of the Kumbalgarh Forest reserve and sunsets from our balcony were the highlight of our stay! The beautifully appointed rooms were superbly serviced by zalimsingh and team who were very accommodating of our high standards of cleanliness de***ded by our foreign colleagues. The food was great and not a single dish was repeated for the entire 4 days of or stay! And all our alacart requests were promptly accommodated. The serving staff at the restaurant with 360 degree view was wonderful...and a special shoutout to Lokesh ji whose smiling and can do attitude made our meals extra special! Even the security guards were so alert about our whereabouts and guided us well with directions to all the scenic spots. Everything ***aged like clockwork by the ***ager Shri Rudrasingh ji. Over all a five star and extremely memorable experience for our family!
