알피나(Hotel Alpina)

I stayed here for 1 night in September 2023. This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. This time I got aroom with a view over Kranjska Gora. The room was very nice and clean. The rooms does not have aircondition, but as it is located in the mountains it cools down during the night. There is plenty to choose from at the breakfast buffet. There is free parking outside the hotel.

The room was just renovated, good beds, a desk and a lounge chair. Large enough. Nice bathroom, but not much waterpressure. Breakfast was ok, if you like green boiled eggs and nasty cappuccino. TV in room had a lot of english channels and even Formula 1 racing on channel 45. Nice lounge, shame the tv didn’t work and the bar was closed, a missed chance for the hotel, could have been a large turn-over with the amount of bikers in the hotel.

Communication with in the hotel was bad. This resulted in allot of time wasted and stress for us. The food was not good. The rooms out dated. We had bad weather So our clothes where soaked but the heating in the room did not work. We asked for this but it is season regulated this meant that shoes where not able to dry. They die offer to dry the clothes. But not being able to regulate the heating was inconveniënt.

Great central location for mountain trip, hotel was very comfortable with great staff

This hotel deserves more than 3.5 stars on Tripadvisor... We booked directly and got a good price. We stayed in superior renovated room which was a good size, warm and with a nice renovated and spacious bathroom. The room 305 was overlooking the town and the slopes. The staff at the reception was super polite and client oriented, I would say that the service was impeccable. Breakfast - pretty good variety and fresh food, even with a choice of fresh fruit juices. Service at the breakfast not so great. Negative sides: 1. Parking - I had to pay for parking at another part of town for one day, the hotel could at least contract some discounts for that if they don't have enough parking slots. 2. Dinner buffet - for the price you pay for two you can have a 3x better meal in any of the really good restaurants around, with drinks included. Poor choice really.

The hotel is nice and is located right on the slopes, which is perfect for skiers. It is also very close to the centre of Kranjska Gora. However, the entrance was renovated so it makes you think the hotel is modern, but the rooms look old and outdated. The paint on the walls in our room was peeling off. Other than that, the room was fine and clean. It's nice that there is a game room in the hotel where you can play snooker, air hockey or table tennis. The breakfast is OK, pretty average and traditional. The dining area is spacious. The ski room offers ski boxes where you can put your ski equipment without worrying about someone else taking it. I recommend this hotel for a short stay; 2-3 nights especially if you plan on being outside the whole day.

Stayed for a few nights to do some skiing while in Slovenia. The hotel is pretty good value for money, the public areas are smart and well kept but the bedrooms are a bit dated although clean and cosy No kettle though. Breakfast was just fine, ABIT bland in my opinion but ok for the price.

Room was on a smaller side comparing to prices, but it was quiet and cozy. Breakfast was excellent! They have ski storage that can be used for bicycles. Close to center and all mayor stores. Free parking.

This is a wonderful location with great restaurants and bars around. The staff was great. They even picked me up at the bus stop. I would definitely stay there again.
