그랜드 윈드삭 보네르(Grand Windsock Bonaire)

This was the perfect spot to use as a home base for our family of four to enjoy a week of diving on Bonaire. Our teens got certified right on site with the great folks at Wannadive, and our 3BR/2BA 3rd floor apar**ent was clean and bright (and air conditioned!) and had everything we needed in the kitchen, plus a lovely balcony to watch the ocean and enjoy the (strong!) breezes. Beautiful pool area with a bar, although we spent our non-diving time at the beach club across the street, where there is great swimming and snorkeling and good food and drinks. Truck/car rental is a must if you want dive and go into town (which we didn’t realize), so we used the on-site rental from the resort and managed to get one at the last minute (it was a manual shift though!)—which also allowed us a free transfer to the airport on the way home. Grocery stores and lots of dining options easily accessible from the resort’s central location. Lovely, helpful staff. A special place on a special island.

The resort itself is very clean, and top notch. We rented a 3 bedroom house with pool and everything was wonderful, plenty of dishes and they supplied towels, toilet paper, and even coffee pods & Outlet plugs since the electric was different there. People all very friendly. Definately need a car to get around island. Only downflal was there was no beach by resort and even bar that they show is across the street, there is all rock and nothing for kids to swim. Island is noted for Diving and Snorkling so bring your water shoes. They do have a bar at the pool where they serve drinks and lunch foods. Beds were wonderful, couches in living room area were not comfortable and need to be replaced. We will definately be back again some day. Had a great time.

The three bedroom villa with private pool was well stocked and comfortable. They arranged for a rental car and a pre-stock of groceries, which was great! Staff was attentive. There were walkable beaches and restaurants- great for our kids ages 8/10. (Probably not the best water access for toddlers.) Only major concern is that the neighborhood may have had some sewer issues while we were there- weird smell in sinks and we saw them working on the road in a manhole… after they came and cleaned out pipes in the unit, the smell went away. Overall, we would return.

We booked a week at Grand Windsock and we are very happy with the resort and its staff. Ample communication ahead of our visit made sure we were set for a good stay including a check to make sure we had a car rental and an offer stock our room ahead of our visit. The staff followed this through our entire stay as Kevin took the time to walk us to our unit and orient us. All told this remarkable property was a great home away from home.

I booked an ocean view apar**ent, which had no ocean view. The pictures misrepresent what the accommodations actually look like. The facility is in a great location and the staff was kind, but when booking an ocean view, I expect to see the ocean.

We stayed with another couple for two weeks in a lovely two bedroom, two bath, penthouse, unit A09. The well decorated , clean penthouse had everything we needed, and the friendly, helpful staff were wonderful. The resort is well located near town, the airport and key tourist sites. We will go back.

I stayed in a 3-BR / 2 bath villa with a swimming pool, and it was great. The bathrooms are spacious as well as the bedrooms - especially the master bedroom. The pool is decent size but there is no privacy. However, the resort will be planting bushes and shrubs in front of the pool to give privacy. The plants are expected to be in place soon. Pickup at the airport was easy as well as renting a pickup truck from the resort. Much easier than renting from the airport. There are no restaurants on the grounds, but the Beach Restaurant is across the street. The electric outlets are of the European variety, and there plenty of outlets. If you need an adapter the resort has them at the Reception Desk for no charge. Finally, if you want to go diving then you are going to enjoy WannaDive being on the grounds. Great staff who answered all of my questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely resort, I was here with my 2 friends and the appartement has everything what we needed. Safe, clean, nice pool & also the bbq night was great. Nearby airport & a lot of extra options you can ask for at the front desk. I can advise everyone to go here.

The deluxe penthouse we rented was beautiful however it was not what was pictured or described in *******. There was no couch but only a table and chairs outdoors. Windsock took no responsibility for the booking and we had to speak to *******. Didn’t want to start on a bad note so decided to enjoy it as it was. Kevin at the front desk was beyond helpful and made our stay enjoyable. We found that if we weren’t Dutch speaking the rest of the staff ignored us. You do need to rent a vehicle if you want to find the fabulous restaurants, go hiking or explore the rest of the island. We loved our time in Bonaire…
