I did an open water course with Lex van Helden. Great learning experience and very good facilities. Love the training course and environment over here. I would recommend going here. One of the best islands for diving aswell. Enjoy your time!

Haad Tien is a fantastic laid back resort complex on the southern coast of Koh Tao. Because it's some way from the main resort area, it is beautifully quiet and relaxing. But (if required) only a short taxi ride from the action areas. The Hideaway Villas are extremely spacious and comfortable and are only a short walk from the main reception and restaurant area. More follows! The beach pool is brilliant for kids and adults alike and is only a stones throw from the main beach, which is very nice soft sand and inviting. The only small drawback is that at low-tide entering or leaving the sea is difficult due to exposed coral rock. At high and mid tide this is not a problem The snorkelling is excellent direct from the beach with lots of fantastic reef fish and occasional black tip sharks (harmless) and turtles to watch! All or party saw them! Remember to pack your snorkel and mask, but fins are discouraged due to potential dangers to the coral caused by snorkellers kicking it by accident! All the staff are courteous and helpful. My particular thanks to the manager Dave, who was fantastic at sorting out any problems! A brilliant and restful holiday experience on a superb and relatively unspoilt island! I look forward to coming back again!

We stayed here for about 2 weeks for a photo shoot and felt very comfortable. We stayed in the villas, and specifically the Beach Villas are fantastic. Some areas of the hotel are showing signs of age, but I feel like renovations and expansions are underway. Overall, it’s a very nice hotel in terms of location and layout. However, what made us feel like we were in a great place the most were the staff members. Especially exceptional was DAVE! You will rarely come across such an amazing person. There was no wish he couldn’t fulfill and no problem he couldn’t solve in no time. A huge thank you to him once again!!! The other staff members were also always super friendly and helpful! I want to give a special mention to June from the restaurant. Despite working, we really enjoyed our time at Haad Tien and can absolutely recommend a stay. Many thanks and all the best to Dave! 🙏🏼

This is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Koh Tao itself if stunning, but this resort is absolutely beautiful and the most perfect place to stay. We have only had 2 nights here this time, but will be visiting again for at least a week!

THIS IS THE BEST BEACH SIDE RETREAT IVE EVER STAYED IN!!! From start to finish we were treated like VIPs by Lidia and Aoe. We were even upgraded to a beach front Bungalow. The whole experience was incredible!!!! The breakfast is incredible With the view making it even better

We spend beutiful time in this resort. Everything si like in a movie, quite place with beautiful views unreal. People are so kind! Every recommendation for this resort! The rooms are big and clean, swimming pool area is also amazing. They have also a shuttle bus to pier and back 3 times and day! Everything is good organised

Loved every minute of staying here. It had the most amazing facilities, with the most beautifulest views. We have travelled all over Thailand, and the staff here were just WOW! They go above and beyond for you and make you feel so comfortable. A special shoutout to Htoo, Zay and Moe. These boys were amazing to us and are such hard workers, from carrying our luggage back and forth and serving us. They made our stay so exceptional. We will be coming back, and I recommend this place to anyone.

A very special place away from the hustle and bustle! Our bungalow was stunning with beautiful views of the sea snd pool. Beautiful white sandy beaches and warm sea where my husband and I saw 3 turtles and loads of tropical fish The people were so friendly and polite. The cleaning lady couldn’t have been more helpful and the bungalows were spotless. The food was delicious with loads of variety and happy hour had lots of different beers and cocktails. It was soo relaxing and tranquil and I had a wonderful Thai massage in the spa! I thoroughly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone who wants to totally relax after exploring Bangkok and various other places in your lovely country. If you want a night out you can go on the shuttle bus or get a taxi which was really cheap !

The resort is two resorts in one. You have the beach club section. These are hotel type rooms which are decent. Be prepared to do a lot of stair climbing. Beach club is built on the side of a hill. The other half was the haadtien. These are individual bungalows around the lower side of the resort. We were at the beach club but would have preferred the haadtien side. There is a septic smell at times which can be off putting. The resort has a large resort feel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t say there was anything bad about the resort. It just didn’t have a great vibe.

A lovely hotel. I had a lovely villa with its own Bali bed outside. The staff, food, drink were all very good. A chilled vibe. Lovely having the beach next to the pool. Also a shuttle provided into the port/ Sairee beach. The only negative was I was unable to sit around the pool as there were not enough loungers.

This beach venue is a great location and the palm lined water front is very tranquil and very well cared for. Our accommodation was beach front and really good. Not so tranquil is breakfast! It’s a bit chaotic from about 8am As usual in Thailand the staff are very helpful, only praise for them. Generally the food is very good. The staff and nature are the reason I’d say 4 stars.

Best place of the Island! Best view! Pools are perfect too and Dave, the Guest Experience Manager was really friendly and gives us perfect advises. Thanks a lot for everything, it was really amazing, we will surely recommend this place!

This property is a 3 stars resort at best. First, the cleanliness of some areas of this property are very questionable. especially the common bathrooms. You can clearly see and smell that they are not clean as often as they should. The Air conditioner in our room broke 3 times, the third being around 11:00pm when they do their daily electricity shutdown (the electricity is shut down for 2 minutes 3 times a day at this resort). We woke up at midnight because of the heat, called the front desk and after the 3rd time that our Air conditioner broker, they finally agreed it was time to change room at midnight. Very pleasant. They could clearly see there was a problem the 2nd and we should've changed room then. No compensation except a sorry was given even though we had to wake up and change room in the middle of the night. In both our rooms, the toilet seats were damaged and stained, which was normal according to the cleaning staff... Also, the hot water was coming in and out. As for food, the breakfast options are very limited and honestly disappointing (it's a running theme for this hotel as you can see). The prices for food at the resort (although the food is good) is quite expensive, as expensive as some of the 5 stars resorts on the main islands which was very surprising. Finally, the staff is very friendly but they are severely understaff which allows the many shortcoming of this resort to be very noticeable. Upper management clearly has mandate to cut cost as much as possible and it shows. It's too bad because this resort has a lot of potential but some minor investments in the infrastructure and staff is needed. In short, it was the worst experience I ever had in a hotel in my life. Avoid at all cost!
