Elephant Valley Eco Farm Hotel

Good for families who want to have a peaceful and relaxing place. Free from mass tourism Food is good Need to walk a lot especially river cottage (some people like it or some may not like it) Not recommended for those who go for Kodai sightseeing. Need to travel for an hour to reach the tourist hotspot

We visited this property in May 2023. Group of 12 people including 2 kids. The property is beautiful. Picturesque landscape with a great view of hills and the property includes a water stream as well. But the Pros end here. The interior of the rooms is not so good. There is no electricity at night which makes it bit inconvenient if you are staying with family. Rooms are distantly located. The honeymoon cottage is located near the river and you cannot come out of it after 7:30 pm due to the expected presence of wild animals. Security is there till 9 pm to escort you till your room in case any help needed but at night do not expect any help in case of crisis. It’s pitch dark outside and you are expected to stay within your room. Food was not good. The staff is polite but very slow. It takes eternity to get your order. Last night of the stay my daughter started vomiting due to something she ate there. Whole night she was vomiting but there was no other choice but to wait till morning to get her some medical aid. The management needs to improve the facilities and train the staff in a better manner.

We had an amazing time at the Elephant Valley Eco Farm. Mani the manager was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. All of the staff members were excellent and super helpful. The lodge we stayed in was simple and very comfortable. Exactly what we wanted. The food was fresh and tasty. The valley is beautiful and it was very interesting learning from Mani about all of the crops that are cultivated on the farm. Highly recommended.

We only stayed in the resort for 3 nights but they were incredible. The whole resort with the houses, the restaurant and the lounge is designed so lovely. The people are so nice and the service in the restaurant was beyond great. The food was always cooked freshly and the salads were really amazing. We would definitely recommend to do a hike while your stay there. Our guide was very nice and showed us the nature and animals during our hike. The resort is in the middle of the jungle and you can see the monkeys jumping from tree to tree from the balcony’s. The scenery is really special and unique. Also the reception-crew was really nice and always available for questions. We would definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful resort and will definitely come back by chance!

Elephant valley resort is a very beautiful place with lush of greenery all around. This property is very well maintained and clean. We travelled from Madurai to Elephant eco farm, which is three-hour drive, As we drove near to the eco farm we could see so much greenery and experienced the pleasant weather. We really enjoyed our two days stay at the elephant valley resort. We stayed in a Kerala cottage which was built with complete wood, which resembled a log house with so many tall trees around. We reached there in the evening and enjoyed the cold breeze and weather. The staff and manager Mani were very friendly, and they took good care of us. There is a river flowing through the valley which added more to the serenity and tranquility to the place. It was such a wonderful experience to wake up to the chirping of the local birds and enjoying the greenery. The food served was very delicious and health friendly. There is a hanging/connecting bridge within the eco farm, my daughter had a really great time crossing the bridge and going to the other side of the river. The staff say that sometimes we can see the elephants moving around the property, although we could not spot any during our stay, but If you are lucky enough we can get to see the elephants inside the farm at times, over all we really enjoyed our stay at the farm and cherish the moments we spent over there and would love to visit this place again.

Had an excellent stay. Property is located in a forest next to a river. Staff was super helpful. Food served was delicious. Would like to visit this property again. After this visit would like to try out other Dune properties.
