Great concept poorly executed. Wonderful property with extremely poor service and hospitality. The experience was shoddy from the time we drove up the drive way till departure. Poorly trained staff and no such thing as service across the board. Very poorly managed restaurant and generally unwise selection of cuisine topped by unwelcome service. Most of the staff are either new or waiting to find a new job. Will never visit again.

We loved our time at Tamara. We were traveling with our 16 month old baby & we were very well taken care of. Mr. Prem Singh took care of our baby’s food everyday & also came to check on us . Mr prabhakaran presented the cleanest room to us keeping our needs in mind. Soni at the reception also kept our baby entertained while we were relaxing in the lobby. Great staff and service . Great ambience and rooms with very nice views and vibe. Totally recommended !

The hotel is great, and so is the food. Ambience is beautiful and rooms are clean. We had Chef Prem help us get Jain food, he was really really cooperative. Be prepared special meals as well as took care of our dietary preferences . Thanks again for for an awesome experience.

The hotel is in a beautiful area and is surrounded by nature. The rooms are well designed and the bed is very comfortable. The variety of food is good and Chef Upaching made excellent dishes using fresh ingredients. He went out of his way to make food according to dietary requirements.

Tamara Kodai is very special place for anyone who visits. They take care of us right fro the booking to check in and from checkin to checkout you need to just enjoy the flawless flow of Tamara Kodai team. Kids love this landscape especially filled with joyous activities like fooshball to pool table, pottery to archery etc…… We took a trip to Mannavnur (must for all) from their reception facility and the hotel chauffeur Mr Ebi was courteous enough to give us a memorable journey for the day with lot of details. Food: needles to say…… you will be served endlessly by the team and every other moment the chef comes around the table to check if all were okay. Special thanks to South Indian chef Mr Sivakumar who explained the local Fruits & Veg and the dishes made out of it like Karuvepillai thokku, beetroot poriyal, Andra chicken, kothu parotta etc….. Things that we like to see better: 1. Room carpets and furniture were slightly aging. 2. Pricing overall both for food and beverage. 3. Check out time rush. 4. Online booking price to include dinner. We recently had the pleasure of dining at Tamara Hotel in Kodaikanal, where we were fortunate enough to experience the culinary expertise of Senior Chef Mr. Selva Kumar. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, Mr. Selva Kumar's warm hospitality made us feel right at home. He took the time to understand our preferences and dietary requirements, ensuring that each dish was not only delicious but also tailored to our tastes.

The ambience was too good and South Indian Chef of Tamara Mr. Selvakumar’s dishes were amazing and especially Mutton Biryani in the dinner buffet was top notch and other dishes of him simply good…he explained us what all he cooked and he specially made idli for my little son. Really had amazing experience in Tamara

It was one best dining experience we ever had. Will be recommending it for many people. Especially, Mr. Shanthakumar made sure we all are comfortable throughout our dine. Great hospitality ! Keep up the good work. Thank you for hosting us all.
