Amritara Poovath Beachfront Heritage

Very sweet and peaceful hotel in super historic district. Walk one block to most of the waterfront you want to see and walk ten or 15 mins to the palace and Matanchery neighborhood or easily get a taxi. Staff was really kind and responsive, helping arrange some massage and Ayurvedic trea**ents. Especially Jya and a gentle*** whose name I didn’t get. Best paratha I’ve ever had in the nicely priced restaurant.

We loved this hotel, on a small quiet street within walking distance of the old town and a stone's throw from the sea. The room was lovely and big, the staff were helpful and courteous. The food was some of the best we had in the two weeks we travelled through Kerala! We booked our driver ***uel through the hotel and he was great. He looked after us for the rest of our holiday finally dropping us at the airport. He couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, polite and interesting, all in the right amounts! We would highly recommend both the hotel and ***uel!

A very comfortable stay with lovely staff who were accommodating with our needs, delicious breakfast and an easy walk to the beach, sights and surrounds. We exchanged our US dollars easily, were given a great local restaurant for dinner called Seagulls. A small property of 10 rooms . Pool was a little warm but refreshing after an afternoon walk. Upstairs terrace had a lovely afternoon breeze for us play games.

Stayed at this resort on 6th April. The place is beautiful, very antique, pristine and among beautiful surroundings. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I would like to particularly mention this girl, who always had a smile on her, but unfortunately can't recall her name (started with A). The service and food was great too. The staff organised an early breakfast for us and also arranged a taxi to take us to the station. The AC in the room wasn't great but the staff fixed it for us. The weather was extremely hot and humid but that isn't the hotels fault. Would love to visit again.

Wonderful heritage hotel in the heart of fort kochi. The staff were very friendly and rooms and amenities were great. We enjoyed staying here. There is noise from the nearby animal circus but that did not affect our stay. The hotel is walking distance from the beach and lots of great things to see nearby.

A beautiful colonial building carefully restored, close to Fort Kochi beach and the town centre. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are good. Also recommended is the hotel's taxi service for pickups and local trips. Good value all round.

Absolutely beautiful heritage hotel. Calm quiet with the most amazing and delightful staff. Our room was beautiful overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was made to order. Fresh fruit eggs and freshly squeezed juices. You will not find a better place to stay in Fort Kochi. We will certainly come back. Highly recommended

Amritara @ Kochi is a lovely heritage property that comes with deep warmth of the staff team comprising Asthya, Aslan, ***uel (the driver cum guide), and others ***aged by Jia under the leadership of Nancy. The open-air balcony overlooking the sea is a treat for the mornings and the evenings.

Beautiful small hotel in a wonderful location just off Kochi Beachfront. Excellent spacious accommodation with sea and super quiet old Dutch cemetery views. Quiet and well-tended garden with swimming pool. Very good food and charming staff who really looked after us.
