Beautiful, park like grounds with spacious, lovely rooms. But the area where it was located was not very nice, the food was not very good and it took an hour to arrive at the table (although the staff were very nice)

Pleasant surprise! We had booked a hotel in Vihiga but upon arrival we were disappointed and decided to relocate to kisumu. We found the hotel and decided to stay there, the rooms, ambiance of the hotel, facilities including the hosts were really great. We didn’t have enough time to spend at the hotel but we made the best of the time we stayed in Ciala. It is located very near Kisumu and the airport hence, convenient and value for money.

Rooms are beautiful and clean. Well maintained however, the mosquitoes were a nuisance. Didn’t receive much help after requesting bug spray and mosquito net Food- subpar- expected a wider selection/ food choice. Nothing exciting Service- found it a bit lacking- different reception staff gave differing rates for airport drop off and…. Overall, beautiful place- needs a lot of improvement on so many fronts.

The staff that worked in the main indoor restaurant on the evening and night of March 24th (can’t remember their names!) exceeded our needs, wants, and preferences. My family of 3 had dinner there. Truly a memorable experience. Great ambiance.

The rooms are very excellent and all the bathrooms are lovely but some features like wi-fi is often going off and power too they should really do something about that the food is excellent and the service is pretty average there is once I called for the bill and the waiter asked me to send them the money instead of sending to the pay bill that was wrong improve some the games and activities where my best part I enjoyed my stay but they should really improve on some stuff

One night stay with the family. Super location with glorious surroundings. Staff service across all faculties. Attentive but not intrusive. The kids loved the warm outside pool and play area particularly. We will stay again when we visit Kisumu.
